This is a welcoming little hotel situated a few steps away from the elevator system into town. We enjoyed staying here. It’s not ‘posh’ but was comfortable and a great price for a nights stay. We had a large double room with a small balcony. The man on reception was incredibly helpful and did all he could to make us feel welcome. We appreciated his kindness to us. We loved walking the streets of Perugia. There is some occasional noise from a road (not directly in front of the hotel) in the evenings but we just closed the windows and slept soundly. We would return should we come again to this beautiful city.

Hotel is centrally situated - parking is available (although its a bit of a faff) and its a short walk to the bus station. The underground is five minutes walk, which takes you right in to the centre. My room was on the first floor, overlooking the fruit and veg market - it was clean, comfortable and good aircon. Breakfast is at a little cafe nearby. Overall excellent value for money

“Average Hotel with a Good Location”

Arrived early and was unable to check in however they accepted our bags and requested we return later. Spoke enough English to get by which was nice. Other than the booking cost, there is a €1.00 local tax per person per night to be paid at check in. We stayed in Room 4 with a balcony that overlooks the Fruit & Veg Market. The room was very basic albeit spacious. A very small TV was in one corner. The complimentary Tea & Coffee facility didn’t have any coffee, when enquired why, we were directed to their local cafe which is a 2 minutes walk. This is also where the breakfast is held which consists of a coffee and a croissant. That’s it. The bed was comfortable with one extra pillow provided. Considering we were a couple, a second would have been nice. Ended up using a cushion to support the pillows. The AC worked nicely cooling and warming the room as required. The bathroom although advertised as has toiletries, only had shampoo and shower caps. I’m bald so neither were of a benefit to me. Luckily there is a Pam Local supermarket which is 5 mins walk away. We popped in and got supplies. There is a fridge in the room which has some sort of a minibar containing two cans of Fanta, one bottle of beer and one bottle of Aperol Spritz and salty pretzels with a price list attached nearby. There were no hot water upon our arrival and on our last day of stay from the shower or the bathroom sink. We ran the tap for 10 mins and enquired with the staff. It were repaired shortly after but as we were checking out, it was kind of late for us. There is no 24hr reception or front desk. Often we needed things and couldn’t find anyone to ask. The best thing about this hotel is its location, walking distance to everywhere. Behind the Fruit & Veg Market there’s an entrance that takes you underground where there are three sets of escalators that get you into the heart of the Rocca Paolina and to the top plaza where the views are spectacular. From there you can literally walk the entire of Perugia taking in the culture and historic sites. The city is built on a hill meaning lots of steep climbs and descents including long stairs and windy bends but it’s all part of the experience. The hotel is a good basecamp to explore but don’t expect luxury or amenities.
