We've just returned home after a wonderful 2 weeks holiday at the Alpino. This was our second time at this lovely family run hotel All the staff are welcoming and very friendly and helpful. The whole hotel is kept spotless by the friendly hard working cleaners. Rooms cleaned everyday and clean towels, bedding. We ate in the attached restaurant every evening and the food was lovely. Thank you to everyone at the Alpino. We will be returning. Tracey, paul & Karl x

We have just returned from Hotel Alpino and had another lovely holiday there, we love small hotels and bed and breakfast is ideal as we like to eat out at different places but saying that we ate most nights in the hotel restaurant as the food is fantastic. We had a lovely room with a balcony which was kept spotless every day, all the staff at this hotel do an absolutely amazing job and really work hard and always with a smile on their faces. Malcesine is beautiful and is the best part of the lake, easy to get ferries and buses to all different places .To everyone at the Hotel Alpino thank you for a lovely holiday we will definately be returning, Steve and Alison x

I return to the Alpino Hotel every year, and it always gives me a great base for my Malcesine holiday. The rooms are simple but with everything you need, a comfortable bed and pillows, and importantly in these increasingly hot months the air conditioning in the rooms is very effective. The location is almost as central as you can get, and yet the soundproofing is good so you hear little noise at night. This year I had a car. The hotel has a small car park although it is off-site, close to the cable car, about a 10 min walk. It is a very narrow lane to the car park which is fine for most vehicles, but could be an issue if you had a very wide vehicle. I was able to drop my suitcases at the hotel first, before parking the car. Breakfast is simple but tasty, and it’s worth having a few dinners in the Alpino restaurant too as the dinner menu is super. And as always the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Just remember this is a budget hotel. The location is amazing and that makes it more impressive. Breakfast was fantastic for the price included in the holiday. Just remember this is a budget hotel. The location is amazing and that makes it more impressive. Breakfast was fantastic for the price included in the holiday. Staff all nice and approachable also felt safe as a solo holiday maker. The hotel is clean throughout but the maids are very eager to access your room even when you’ve said no maybe a language barrier. Did have to change rooms on the second day in to a single room which was annoying as unable to unpack and no apology for the inconvenience. Quite most of the time can be a little noisy when people return to there rooms at night but on the hole good for budget.
