The Piccolo Hotel was a very nice hotel, great location (20) minute walk to city centre, which was nice as it was more quiet and pleasant for patio sitting and enjoying cocktails on the dining area terrace. The rooms are very nice(again get a lake side view). The restaurant was very nice, service was great, and the food was very, very good. We had the bike's and rented them for $15EU both for a half day. Very nice ride around the lake. Thank you.

Hotel: beautiful and modern, recently renovated. Room: comfort room has lake views and balcony, perfect for a romantic trip. Amenities are modern and new, room and bathroom sparkling clean. Looked better than photos. Room a bit small, but hearing the waves all the time and seeing Limone lighted at night from our bed was an awesome experience. Location: on the shore of the lake, so views are stunning if you get a lake view room. A bit far from Malcesine (40-50 min walk, 3 min by car), but we loved the beautiful walk and came by car...so it wasn't a problem. The shore of the lake and the beach are in front of the hotel, but separated by the main road, so it's quite noisy from traffic, especially in the morning if you like to sleep late. No soundproof, but lake views compensate for this minus. Breakfast: one of the best we ever had - omelet, traditional Italian cold cuts and lots of quality cakes and pastries. Views from restaurant in the morning are perfect. Great Italian coffee. Breakfast starts late at 08:00 AM. Staff: nice enough and helpful. Pool area: looked nice - in summer it's probably a big plus. Did not use it in May, but they did open it 1st of May just as it says on their site. Restaurant: only serves breakfast and dinner. Dinner has to be chosen from a fixed menu in the morning (at breakfast) so when we arrived in the evening on the first day we could not eat at the hotel. Considering that this hotel is quite isolated and that there aren't other restaurants in the area (first is 10 min walk and not very good) I think that they should inform about this issue at booking. If we had known about this, we would have stopped to eat before checking in. Wifi: not reliable. Overall: Hotel is best for couples, relaxing, romantic trips and perfect views of the lake (but do book a comfort room, because standard rooms face the back of the hotel and have no lake view). We enjoyed our trip and would come back as Lake Garda is extremely beautiful.

Did not start well as arriving at our room the tolet seat was broken. This made us wonder how they could claim all necessary clensing done to current restrictions as this should have been noticed. Politely asked for this to be fixed and 3 hours later demanded it be fixed and it was. Whenever I travel wherever it may be in the world I like to have drink in room whilst unpacking so first thing is to request some ice. Went down to the bar and the lady was getting it for me when man who sat in the bar/restaurant stopped her. (I understand he may have been son of the owner) He never acknowledged you when you went in either. I appreciate that Hotels want you to spend money at bar but never have found this request to be refused before. So not a good start to our arrival. However after that things improved. We decided to eat in the restaurant that evening and you are requested to order your meal by 5pm in the evening. A 3 course meal wih 3 choices for each course is offered and excellent service and good value. Breakfast is a buffet but due to current restrictions you have to stand away from the buffet and the Hotel staff load your plate with whatever you choose. Drinks are served at the table and having requested a gluten free breakfast was supplied with excellent choices. We had a room overlooking the lake and although there is a road between Hotel and Lake (a problem with most Hotels round Lake Garda) it had an excellent view. There is a nice pool with tables and chairs and loungers. If you prefer there are loungers over the road on pebble beach next to the Lake. Apart from as mentioned above the staff were very nice and helpful and we enjoyed our 3 night stay.

We booked this hotel last minute and managed to get a suite at a reasonable price. We had so much space and a lovely balcony overlooking the lake. We couldn’t fault the room. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. We had been spoilt at our previous hotel with a cooked breakfast and maybe a few more cooked items would make the breakfast even better. There is a small beach across the road from the hotel and the clear water was lovely for swimming. Our only negative would be the noise of the road in the morning, but it’s a small price to pay to wake up with the breath taking views of the lake. Thank you for a lovely stay.
