The Diamantino is fantastically located on one of the main piazzas in Padua, easy to find and clear notice on the door about arrivals. I had a double room for myself with a great view across the piazza. Lovely comfortable bed , a well equipped kettle, fridge etc. The bathroom was spacious, well lit and very clean. The only downside was late night and early morning noise, the bars on the square were open until 2am on Saturday into Sunday and the street cleaning started at 5am. No problem at all on the Sunday night, all quiet by 11pm.

“Fabulous Location”

The Dimantino Town House is brilliantly located above the main piazza. There are many piazzas in Padova and all within walking distance - everything is within walking distance. The Dimantino Town House is brilliantly located above the main piazza. There are many piazzas in Padova and all within walking distance - everything is within walking distance. During the day the Piazza is a market, in the afternoon/evening all the tables are out and its aperitivo or dinner time. Padova is a really busy city and there is something happening in the piazza's all of the time. But back to the apartment. The balcony gives you fabulous views of the piazza. The bathroom is well appointed. The room was comfortable. There is a bar fridge which is very useful. The foyer space has a range of brochures and maps and a printer which is very helpful.

“Not too cool”

Diamantino Town House is located in the Piazza dei Signori, adjacent to the magnificent Torre del’Orologio. The signage and the beautiful steel entry door are both very discrete, as you can imagine, given its position. It’s a great location from which to explore Padua’s historic center and the many cultural sights in the city. Tho early, we were warmly welcomed by our hostess, who showed us to a lovely room with two large windows overlooking the square. The room and the en-suite bathroom were both beautifully decorated with the usual conveniences: kettle, small fridge, lots of storage. The bed was large and the linens were fine. Everything was comfortable. Except...the room temperature. We arrived in a heat wave. The air conditioner was simply not up to the task of keeping the room cool. We had it on full fan and set at 21C, but the temperature never fell below 27C. We found this distinctly uncomfortable. The Diamantino is on one of the main squares in Padua city center. There is a weekly market on the square, with vendors arriving from about 6 a.m. to set up. The view was wonderful, but perhaps you might want to consider a room that does not directly overlook the square. The hosts do not stay on-site, so it was not possible to raise the a/c issue with anyone during the night. We provided feedback about this the next morning, but our host did not seem too bothered. These devices can be locked to a specific setting and I believe this was the issue when we stayed. The continental ‘breakfast’ consisted of two cartons of juice; some soft, cellophane-wrapped rolls; and a couple of packets of biscuits. Two small bottles of water and some packets of instant coffee and tea bags (but no milk, not even dried) were also provided. We went out for breakfast, to a local cafe near the market and had a lovely meal. The hosts were lovely and well-organised; check-in and out were a breeze. They also arranged private car parking for us, and even valeted our car personally there and back again! If the a/c issue can be resolved, I would recommend the Diamantino Town House as a great place to stay for a couple of nights (but perhaps not the night before marked day!).

“Great Location, Good Value”

The location on Piazza Dei Signori was perfect as we could walk to most attractions which were so close by. The square was set up for markets during the day, and for restaurants at night, often with musicians. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall very good value for money
