“Perfect Base To Explore Akita”
I spent two nights at the Akita Castle Hotel in March (2023). It was a short walk from the train station near multiple attractions like the Akita Museum of Art and the castle ruins in Senshu Park. “Good choice”
I stayed for two nights in this nice older style hotel which has with attractive wood throughout. I enjoyed quite a spacious suite with a wide sideways view of Kubota Castle's moat and (more distantly) part of its restored Omotemon Gate. “Beware of the WIFI”
The Akita Castle Hotel was lovely, with one major exception. THE INTERNET IN THE HOTEL ROOMS IS TERRIBLE. Akita being quite remote this hotel was recommended to me to be the only good choice. It turned out to be a disappointment for me.
