This was our second time staying here. Two years ago we had stayed for 5 nights, it was that good. We did the same thing this year. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and large, though it had two twin beds rather than a Double or Queen sized bed. The beach was only a few steps away. They’re located on the bay side of the island, so the water is calm, perfect for snorkeling. For meals, you have to walk about 5-7 minutes to the restaurant that’s attached to Native Sea Amami. The restaurant has both Japanese and Western selections for all meals. The food was fresh and delicious. If you walk along the beach you’ll have to walk up about 50 steps to get to the restaurant. If you walk on the road, there’s a real incline on the way to the restaurant. Either way you’re ready to eat when you get there! You can also ask someone in the office at Adan on the Beach to drive you over, we saw a lot of people using this shuttle service. The hotel also provides free airport shuttle service. Adan on the Beach has two floors, with six or seven bungalows connected on each floor. Our bungalow was on the ground floor, which was convenient for going to and from the beach and having afternoon shade. Credit cards are accepted.

We stayed here for 5 nights, it was so good. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and large, though it had two twin beds rather than a Double or Queen sized bed. The beach was only a few steps away. They’re located on the bay side of the island, so the water is calm, perfect for snorkeling, even though there’s not a lot to see. If you walk on the road, there’s a real incline on the way to the restaurant. Either way you’re ready to eat when you get there! You can also ask someone in the office at Adan on the Beach to drive you over, we saw a lot of people using this shuttle service. We had a corner bungalow on the ground floor, which was convenient for going to and from the beach and having afternoon shade. But if you have noisy upstairs neighbors clomping around like a baby elephant family it can be quite distracting!

We stayed 3nights. The room was clean and well equipted. There is an icemachine, a microwave and a beverageautomat at the lobby. You can use the free car parking and the wlan. For eating the manager can arrange reservations in the restaurant forest, 500m away. All rooms have seaview and big a big balcony or terass. employees can speak english. We hardly recommend a car. “Rooms vary massively. ”

Stayed in 3 rooms . Nicest are more expensive which was fine , larger - pleasant and well worth the extra money. Others were rudimentary at best. Staff were lovely. Stayed in 3 rooms . Nicest are more expensive which was fine , larger - pleasant and well worth the extra money. Others were rudimentary at best. Staff were lovely. Beach was very pleasant, smalll but clean , safe and quiet. Bit stranded but the sister hotel up the hill has a restaurant of sorts. All the hotels in the area have very basic Amenities , very simple menu’s. This is an island that is slightly lost in terms of time and investment. Architectural style is closer to army barracks styling. Restaurants are so few and far between outside the main town it’s amazing. You can drive for 39/40 mins and not see anywhere. Great diet location generally. Weather is clearly a factor, judging by the concrete barricades the weather here must be destructive as hell on occasions. I assume that the sea and the wind destroy people’s hard work. Albeit island is green ,horticulture is not a priority. Generally friendly and always polite and helpful - but language is an issue. Tourist maps are always in Japanese symbols which makes getting round really tough : maps are unintelligible to westerners, even google maps won’t save you as you cannot read the symbols to put the address in. Touristy things to do outside diving or twiddling toes in sand are really limited.
