The hotel location and room are rated 90/100! The superior room is spacious and with a washing machine. Housekeeping staff are friendly. Front desk staff service are standard and Japanese way of helpful. They are polite but will not make any efforts to provide help. Do not expect English speaking staff and you can use simple single vocab to communicate.

“Nice and comfortable hotel !”

This hotel is very nice hotel. The room has more than 20㎡,it is called Comfort Twin.It has Microwave oven and Washing machine etc. I am surprised at Balmuda Electronic kettle in this room! Reasonable price is also good! So this hotel is very nice.

We booked the twin room with 30 square metres size and that’s what we got. Room is nice and spacious. It has microwave and portable stove among other things like fridge and kettle. Love the washing and dryer. To do both it takes 4.5 hours and you may need additional hour to fully dry the (winter) clothes. For travellers with heavy luggage, note that the nearest exit number 6 as indicated in the hotel website (3 mins walk) has no lift and escalator. Closest exit is number 3 (very close to 6) has escalator up (but not down). Can’t be bothered to find lift or down escalator as we will be taking taxi back to airport. Location wise it is close and walkable to tenjin station and close to underground mall. A couple of minor issues. Wifi is practically not working for us, extremely slow. They suggested to reset the wifi inside the room but we couldn’t be bothered to as it was late already so we just use our rental wifi. Also, half way through the stay the safety deposit box, i believe, ran low on battery and almost unable to open. I know we can get them to take a look, but again, it was late and we were tired already. Apart from those it was a good location to stay. I suggest to buy one day pass, 640 yen even if you have JR pass. We find it convenient to hop on and off between hakata, tenjin to minami tenjin especially after coming back from trip.

We stayed at this business hotel for several days and had a mixed experience, perhaps due to our expectations. We originally booked a double room. After stepping into the space -- a third floor room with stained carpet and couch overlooking a parking lot with one side of the bed next to a wall and the other with less than half a meter of space around it -- asked if there were other options. We were then shown to a much larger double room on the top floor with a great view of the cityscape, a washer/dryer combo, great shower and soaking tub bathroom with a separate space for the sink and modern Japanese-style toilet. This room was double the price, but as we needed more space for this stay -- especially a larger desk -- we shifted and don't regret that. The room had a mini-fridge, kettle, and a few cups and glasses, which was helpful for a longer-term stay. There is no housekeeping in the hotel unless you pay an additional approximately $12 USD per day; for stays longer than 5 days they will do it automatically. The issue of cleanliness comes up when seeing how many stains were on the carpet and couch. (Yes, one can certainly throw the towels in the washing machine but decoding the machine does take time!) Staff were at times overwhelmed by having English-speaking customers, however all were sufficiently intrepid to use translation apps when there was a need for clarification; after a few tries, they were able to assist with forwarding our luggage to the next destination and timely assistance with a restaurant reservation. On the (very) plus side, the location of the hotel is fantastic, with easy access to great restaurants, coffee, bus routes, the riverside, and everything else Fukuoka has to offer. We might still opt to stay here on another visit, but would bring a) less expectations, and b) less luggage.
