“Pleasant experience”
Large and spacious room and the breakfast was very good. Well organized and courteous staff. We did not use the hot springs but those in our group that did said that they enjoyed the experience. The shuttle bus was a big plus. In summary, a pleasant stay

“A beautiful place in nature, but lacking the quality of a 5 star hotel”
Hakone Kowakien Tenyu wasn't quite the experience we had hoped for. We were expecting a more relaxed, intimate atmosphere with a strong focus on quality, but instead the hotel felt more like a large-scale tourist destination. “A Good Stay in Hakone”
Beautiful location with great views. Very tourists and the buffet breakfast and dinners are ok. Rooms are a mix of modern and traditional with private onsens. My husband and I have tattoos so we couldn’t use the public ones. Entertainment nightly and free drinks which is a plus. Close to Lake Ashi.
