What I Liked: • Convenient location on a peaceful street, very close to Family Mart, 7-Eleven, and a Tully’s Coffee shop. Just a 6-minute walk to one of the malls. • Room size is small but sufficient for one person. • Bathroom has good water pressure. • Clean bath towels and linens. • Provides quality hand soap, shampoo, body wash, and hair conditioner. • Room has a window that can be opened, with a window cover that doubles as a blackout curtain. • Most of the staff are helpful and accommodating. • Breakfast was excellent. Areas for Improvement: • Consider assigning someone to clear the snow in front of the hotel to prevent it from becoming slippery.

I am a bit surprised at the low rating this hotel gets. Please let me share my own experience. First of all, this is a business hotel. It has small rooms not designed for tourists with huge luggage. It is cheap for a reason. So, if you travel with large bags better find another deal. If you are a light traveler, this option will be OK for you. Staff at reception spoke a good English, which is a bonus. The hotel is located about 3 - 5 min walk from the Sapporo station, right behind the more trendy Cross Hotel. So everything will be within a short walk. Convenience stores are aplenty, of course, and eateries, and two huge department stores - Daimaru and Tokyu Hands - are a very short stroll away. So food and shopping are covered. You can easily walk to most tourist attractions, or take a tube for a wider exploration. The hotel serves a very good breakfast, but dinner and lunch you need to get elsewhere. The service at breakfast was very efficient. I stayed during a time when a huge group of travelers stayed as well, and the reception warned me there would be a line at breakfast, and it was, I had to wait, but the team handled everything very well and I was invited to enter in no time. Now to the room. I was solo, so mine was small indeed. A bit tired, but clean, and it had everything I needed. A fridge, a hot water pot, some tea, bath and washer toilet, a good bed and a nightwear to relax in. No complaints here. Reception even provided bath salts for free. No view, but that is to be expected in the built -- in area of central Sapporo. So to sum up. If you travel light, don't expect a huge room in the center for a super low price, do not need a full blown restaurant at the hotel - this option may be for you. My only comment to the above is this - if you plan to stay in Sapporo for more than 1 to three nights, consider something else, a hotel that has a spa or a big public bath for instance. Otherwise the Nest hotel is a good budget friendly option.

“Best breakfast buffet for Japan trip”

Stayed here for 2 nights. The buffet breakfast is excellent with seafood and wide range of choices. Stayed here for 2 nights. The buffet breakfast is excellent with seafood and wide range of choices. Location is fantastic within walking distance to Sapporo Station, shoppings and lots of restaurant food choices close by. We requested 2 rooms close together and staff arranged that for us without issue. Room was on the small size but OK for 2 in each room. Hotel offered umbrella to customers for snowing days. Overall, it was a good value hotel for family.

“Business Style Hotel”

This was one of the last available hotels near Odori Park due to my last-minute planning (we visited during the snow festival). Rooms are not that big but it's doable. Basic amenities provided. We were glad we could walk it to the snow festival. Not bad overall.
