“Nice rooms, buffet and amenities!”

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The lobby is pleasant, the rooms are large and well appointed. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It has a terrific egg station, many healthy options, and plenty of variety to suit most palates. Highly recommend

On this trip, I booked a triple room since a friend was joining us. Traveling at the end of February, I found it to be great value for money, but you really need to book early; prices go up the later you wait. The welcome gifts were generous, including three items: drinks, snacks, and I can't remember the third one since I immediately chose breakfast! 😆 The drinks were individual bottles of juice, which were tasty, and the snacks were chocolates that I haven't eaten yet. The room had enough space for all three of us, with our 30-inch luggage fitting comfortably. I appreciated the wooden floors too. That night, the temperature dropped to -3 degrees. The hotel had enforced heating, but you could slightly open the window for ventilation. They also provided a humidifying air purifier in the room, so it didn't feel too dry. The sofa bed was of good quality as well. The entire room was clean and fresh, with a long bathtub that was suitable for someone who is 6 feet tall, and the water pressure and temperature were just right. The hotel was well-prepared; the triple room had all amenities for three people. Even the complimentary coffee capsules increased from 6 to 9. There were also three sets of toiletries, slippers, and pajamas. For titanium elite members, the breakfast offer included three persons as well. The restaurant where breakfast was served had a high ceiling and was bright and fresh. There were many delicious food options, including all-you-can-drink Hokkaido milk, unlimited mentaiko, and the famous Hokkaido soup curry. They had a wide variety of Western-style breads and an egg station. One standout feature was the polite front desk staff, who communicated in English with a friendly smile. We stayed on February 26 and then traveled to other places, returning on March 1. The front desk proactively offered to store our luggage that we wouldn’t need for the next few days, allowing us to pick it up when we checked in again on the 1st. This service was fantastic; we left two 20-inch suitcases and a backpack, which made our vehicle lighter and freed up space. The hotel’s location is super convenient, just 50 meters from the Nijo Market, and directly across from the entrance to Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade. It’s not far to return to the hotel after shopping! The hotel parking is limited and can only accommodate smaller vehicles; taller cars won't fit. However, there’s another parking lot just 20 meters away, which is very convenient. I was very satisfied with both stays and highly recommend this hotel! When we returned on March 1, the service was just as good, the room was tidy, and breakfast was delicious.

“Small room but good location”

- Their location is very good. Very near nijo market, just opposite the hotel only - City center also within 10 mins walking - Since I drove car, we used their parking facilities . Hotel provide automated car parking (first time experience this in Japan). Quite fun to see how the car parking works.… more

Quite fun to see how the car parking works. - They provide complimentary hot chocolate, microwave, tea at level 2. - However room was very small, quite basic hotel. Toilet also small & squeezy. - Rubbish bin iniside toilet is super small 😓😓 maybe is common in Japan to have very small bin, but not common in Singapore. It get full very quickly! - For my experience some of the staffs didn’t speak good English, so there was a time where we find abit difficult to communicate with them & they need to refer me to their colleague who spoke more fluent english.

“Good location and great staff- cigarette smells”

Location is excellent right by Susukino entertainment district. Subway is 5 minutes away and you can walk to Sapporo Station in 20 minutes. Staff is great as always with Marriott. Location is excellent right by Susukino entertainment district. Subway is 5 minutes away and you can walk to Sapporo Station in 20 minutes. Staff is great as always with Marriott. Rooms are very spacious for Japanese hotels. Bathrooms are dated but clean and functional. The room had a large window and balcony which was nice but you could not go outside. Biggest complaint - cigarette smells in hallways and in room. I had to have an air cleaner brought into the room and switched out daily as the filter would get dirty. The curtains are kind of musty smelling as well. This is a common problem in Japanese hotels. It is a "non smoking" hotel but there is a "smoking room" located on the 2nd floor right by the fitness center ironically. Would stay here again if they can get the cigarette smell problem under control. I did not dine in any of the restaurants.
