Probably one of my favourite hotels I went to in Japan due to the space and bathroom area. My first time using a high-tech toilet. It was very comfortable but not easy to get to in my opinion. Probably a 15 minute walk from the nearest underground station. Taxi is quicker from Sapporo station if you took JR. This is a 10 year review so things are likely to have changed drastically. A very peaceful area though!

This boutique hotel is smack right in the middle of Tanukikoji Shopping Street (Chome 5)where you'll find many restaurants & shopping nearby including a 24 hour Mega Don Quijote store. Odori subway station is a good 10 min walk away & is accessible via an underground path from Tanukikoji Shopping Street itself. Sightseeing places are all within walkable distance. Most importantly, the airport bus stop is just a minute walk away opposite Hotel Sunroute New Sapporo. Though my single room was small as expected in Japan, it was clean & compact with a separate shower room & toilet. Would like to express my appreciation to the hotel for changing the smoking room I booked to a non-smoking room.

“Clean and comfortable ”

Stayed at this hotel for two nights and it was snowing heavily. The hotel location is excellent as it’s right next to the subway station which was ideal in the weather. Stayed at this hotel for two nights and it was snowing heavily. The hotel location is excellent as it’s right next to the subway station which was ideal in the weather. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We stayed in a twin room so we had enough room for each person. The bath and the toilet is separate which is a plus too. The staff is friendly and even gave us a 500 yen off coupon to a nearby onsen. You can just walk for 5 minutes and you will be in the hustle bustle of Sapporo night life. Overall a good stay.

Hotel is located right at the Tanuki-cho shopping street = big plus! It is a big advantage as you can shop whenever the crowd is not too high. Hotel is located right at the Tanuki-cho shopping street = big plus! It is a big advantage as you can shop whenever the crowd is not too high. Bathroom is separated from stall, making you have better privacy. I have bit of problem with toilet's bidet though, but it is considered minor. Bed is fine and rooms are cleaned. We booked smoking room as my husband smoke, thinking it couldn't smell that bad for non-smoker like me, but it was quite stuffy I got some allergic symptom. Luckily, hotel provide air-freshener (mist) and as it was during Winter, we kept our windows opened to take out smell, which works well during all 4 nights of our stay. Two pillows provided for each bed. Usually, they clean our rooms pretty nicely, except the last night where one of the beds somehow made us have some allergic reaction (red rashes/itching).Washing basin is separated from bathroom, between to the stall room and writing table, which at first we found it strange. But after awhile found to be more comfy as it is more functional! Washing basin looks like it is from airplane, but larger. Strange at first, but used to it after the stays. Amenities were good - more than enough! Staffs were helpful and tried to help us solve issue as much as we can. We have children traveling with us, and really appreciate that they tried to be helpful as much as they can with our requests (especially the polite lady staff who welcomed us on our first night!) Complimentary bottled drinks were not provided. We were not sure if this is normal, though we did found on some days there were some bottles there. Not sure if it was consolation from our request to change to non-smoking room, but all rooms were fully booked or not. But anyway, we can get water from nearby convenience store. If you are driving, hotel have parking space with parking fee. You can park on side road for a little bit (at Norbesa mall side) to drop off the luggages there as the other side of the hotel is the exit into the Tanuki-cho (so convenience!). Hotel is not too far from Toyota rental and close to many attractions. On our last nights, the construction was going on nearby, thus, it wasn't so peaceful. But other nights where there is no construction, they were peaceful.
