mitsui garden hotel sapporo west - convenient, quite centrally located - 2 blocks if get up from the underground walkway of Sapporo train station (west side) which is quite convenient (the original mitsui garden hotel sapporo is next to it) - the size of room is larger than the usual japan standard - shower is seperated from the lavatory, washing basin outside the shower/lavatory - i personally like the colour tone of the room (light decent blue) - public bath/onsen is indoor, size around 5m x 2m, modern design, quite decent

Stayed in the Superior Twin Room with my husband and 10-year old son at the end of March 2025 for 2 nights before we start our ski trip in Niseko. Stayed in the Superior Twin Room with my husband and 10-year old son at the end of March 2025 for 2 nights before we start our ski trip in Niseko. Compared to hotels in Tokyo for example, I would say this room is spacious but we still couldn’t open up all 3 of our luggage at one time. Room is nicely decorated, however the table is way too small for anything at all, let alone having a light breakfast on the table. Bathroom is spacious but the bathtub is extremely slippery and there is no anti-slippery mat provided. I wonder how elderly could get out from the bathtub without hurting themselves! Location is convenient although it’s not right at the JR station but I would say within 10 min walk. Speaking of location, please take note that there are 2 Mitsui Garden Hotels right next to each other, and not only us, but I saw a few other guests who also went to the wrong hotel! The staff at the front desk only told us with limited English that we have been to the wrong hotel and that we must move our luggage to the correct one! Even though we had 4 luggage and a kid, they did not offer any help at all! Imagine it was -5C outside, even a 1 minute walk with 4 luggage is a pain! I wish they could be a little more helpful than just standing behind the front desk and asking us to leave. Will definitely never stay in this hotel again!

Lately I have been staying at Mitsui Garden Hotels in a row as a company gave me voucher for free stay for my order of reforming my home. I ranked those hotels as follows for future guests but please understand that this is my personal opinion and others may have different opinion. Super Nagoya Premier Nice Kanazawa and Sendai Good Kyoto Station Soso Sapporo West The reason why Sapporo West is so so(among those Mitsui Garden hotels) : 1. Direction for rooms signboard before the elevator were missing if my memory was correct on checking in but later I could find it. 2 Used glasses(mine though) were left unchanged 3 Location of the refrigerator in the room was rather high(normally low) 4 No Japanese breakfast was available and this was the first time at such a high class hotel and eating breakfast seeing the garage building and road in front was not so fun. 5 Staffs were robotic (No Smile) Only one good point is that the hotel is quit near JR Sapporo Station and some sight seeing spots.
