We stayed in one of the newly rennovated club rooms, 25th floor. Views were great. Room was large and comfortable. Not sure if the regular rooms are that way, it seems not. Best thing is you can control heat and AC in the room, as rooms are so hot in Winter in Japan. Few hotels in Sapporo have this. Service was great, although no English Speakers, they make every effort to help. Great staff. It is not what I would call a full service hotel. No help with luggage or doors. Gets very crowded eith the hige tour groups that overwhrlm the staff snd facility. But staff works hard!Seems 3 star hotel. Its a bit of a factory for huge groups of Chinese tourists. Location is great! Lawsons across the street. Easy walk to most places even in Winter. We had club room lounge available for breakfast. Good food but a VERY limited selection. My one big issue was the Grandeur Restaurant dinner. AWFUL. Restaurant needs to be closed. It really drags down the reputation of the entire hotel. Awful! I enjoyed Sapporo!

We recently stayed at The Prince Hotel Sapporo and overall had a pleasant experience. While the hotel itself isn’t new, we were impressed by its newly renovated Club King Room and the Club Lounge. Our high-floor room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a stunning panoramic view of Sapporo city. The Club Lounge was another highlight — modern, stylish, and offering a great view of the Sapporo TV Tower.The location is excellent, just a short walk to Odori Park, nearby department stores, and plenty of restaurants. We also found the complimentary shuttle bus to and from Sapporo Station extremely convenient, especially on snowy days when walking can be challenging.The onsen is on the smaller side, but it’s a nice touch for guests who want a quick soak after a day out. On the downside, the service at the front desk and concierge could be more attentive. During check-out time, the line can get quite long, so it’s best to head down a bit early to avoid the rush.Overall, The Prince Hotel Sapporo offers great comfort and convenience in an unbeatable location. A few service improvements would make the experience even better, but it’s still a solid choice for both leisure and business travelers.

“Very comfortable and clean.”

Associated with a local gym with a good swimming pool. For 2,200 yen you get a day pass. Very friendly locals at the gym who were polite and helpful. Christmas Market with lights and themes were fun. Wear winter boots Streets very icy. Hotel food good.

“NOT IMPRESSED”

We were not impressed with this hotel. The room was a standard double (prior booked by our UK travel company) but it was more like a large cupboard. There was no wardrobe, just hooks on the wall. We were not impressed with this hotel. The room was a standard double (prior booked by our UK travel company) but it was more like a large cupboard. There was no wardrobe, just hooks on the wall. No iron or ironing board. We struggled with insufficient room for 2 suitcases. We arrived at 7.15pm in the evening and after visiting our claustaphobic room we went downstairs at 7.40pm to get a meal. The self service restaurant closed at 8pm so we were not allowed in. There is very little western food, it is mainly japanese and chinese so not impressed with the breakfast. Very few staff speak english so it is difficult to communicate but most try to be helpful. The hotel is modern and clean but we would not go there again.
