We returned back to this Sotetsu Fresa Inn Sapporo Susukino twice during our visit to the Sapporo area this August. It was conveniently located to public transportation #4 stop at Hosuisusukino on the Toho Line where you can take the straircse up and walk one block up or you can get off at #6 Hosuisusukino on the Toho Line where there is an elevator if you have luggage. Once you arrive, you can check in by yourself at the station or you can have a staff member assist you. Make sure you have your Sotetsu membership number upon check in so you can check in your QR code for an additional discount of 500 yen daily to your final amount. I understand this special offer is scheduled to end by March 31, 2026. You will need to have your room key to access the elevator at all times. Rooms are small and they encourage you to place your luggage underneath your bed to save space. There is a mini refrigerator and teapot in the room as well. There is also a laundry room available. We found the staff to be as helpful as they could. The night before we were scheduled to depart Sapporo, we checked with the front desk staff around 7p.m. to help arrange an early taxi pick up around 5a.m. pick up for a 7:40a.m. flight departure from the Chitose Sapporo Airport but they were unable /unsuccessful to confirm a reservation for a taxi pick-up. They claimed that the lines were busy and they tried over four-five times. The staff informed us that they would have their supervisor try and make the reservation for us and they asked us to check back in with them later that evening when we returned from dinner. Upon return from dinner, we were informed that they were unable to confirm the taxi reservation and there were none available. Their advise was to take the Airport Express Bus that departs at 6:29a.m. but this option would not work for us as it would take nearly an hour to get to the airport and our flight would be scheduled to depart within minutes when we arrived there. We were left in a limbo as to how to get to the airport on time. It is a a long story how we resolved this matter but just be prepared with advance reservations for taxi rides/shared rides so you do not end up like our situation as you may be in a time constraint and need to arrive on time. Otherwise, this Sotetsu Fresa Inn Sapporo Susukino is a convenient place to stay. They also serve a rather huge buffet breakfast with a wide selection of Japanese items to choose from. It was 1,760 yen (~$11.50) and it was worth the price as there were so many choices to select from. It can be purchased when you check in. The breakfast room is located directly next door to the front entrance of the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Sapporo Susukino. Also, remember to enter your QR code membership number in when you check out with your keys as you will be reimbursed with a daily refund upon departure.

I had booked an "economy" room but was upgraded to a "comfort" room, which was more spacious. While it was comfortable for me alone, it could still be a bit tight for two people with large suitcases, but that’s common with Japanese hotel rooms. There was also a bit of a wait for the elevators at peak times - but the hotel was fully booked! The amenities offered were very generous and included pyjamas, face masks, bath salts, toothbrushes, moisturizers, and more. Breakfast was not included in the room rate, but was decent for the price and there was a wide variety of items on offer (including "morning beer" if you're so inclined!) The noise isolation was excellent: I was right next to the elevator and didn’t hear a thing. The room was really comfortable - temperature was easily adjusted with an individual air conditioner, there was a humidifier/air purifier, and the mattress and pillows were of high quality. The shared washing machines were also very useful - although even after an hour the clothes were still damp, though they dried overnight. Having the subway entrance directly outside was incredibly convenient, especially in snowy weather. Reaching Sapporo station is easy - two stops on the metro. Despite being a short walk from Susukino, the hotel is situated on a quiet street, so there's no street noise. Despite being Sapporo's red light district, Susukino is safe and has some great restaurants nearby.

This hotel is located very near a Subway station in Sapporo, making it very convenient to access public transport. Next to the hotel, there is a eatery which is perfect if you do not want to travel far to get food. Additionally, the room is spacious and the beds are perfect for sleeping. The hotel is also very clean. However, I feel that some amenities which will definitely be used (such as toothbrushes and combs) should be provided in the rooms, instead of at the lobby, as some people might not see the amenities.
