Stayed in this hotel for 1 nights during our 21days tour in Japan. My 2nd stay in this hotel outlet and surprisingly the receptionist can remember me. She asked if i visited there a year ago. Haha! We stop by Morioka for one reason, i.e. to enjoy Maesawa beef. Hotel receptionist helped me book the restaurant. Hotel is just directly opposite Morioka station, but not to confuse with the toyoko inn near the south exit. Basic, budget, but completely functional Will continue to stay in this outlet should i need to stay in Morioka in future.

“Convenient hotel near Morioka Station - clean but compact rooms and busy breakfast lobby”

All areas, including the guest rooms, are kept clean, but the rooms themselves feel a bit compact. If you have a large suitcase, you may find it slightly difficult to fully open it and organize your belongings. The hotel is very conveniently located, just a 1-2 minute walk from Morioka Station. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so finding meals or daily necessities is generally not a problem. However, restaurants inside the station complex do not stay open late, and most non-izakaya dining options close by around 9 PM, so late-night dining choices may be somewhat limited depending on your needs. As with other Toyoko Inn hotels, guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast served in the lobby on the first floor. However, the boundary between the dining area and the lobby is somewhat unclear, and during busy times - especially on weekends - the dining area can spill over into the lobby, occasionally interfering with the checkout process. That said, the staff are consistently polite and helpful, and will assist you to ensure a smooth experience.

“Nice location”

The price is reasonable and I could have a comfotable stay in this hotel. It is located just in front of the Morioka station. Breakfast is free. The convenience store is near the hotel. In breakfast, we can eat local soup, very nice.

We stayed here for two nights on a tour of Japan during August 2016. If you are travelling by train, the location is excellent as it is just outside the main station. We stayed here for two nights on a tour of Japan during August 2016. If you are travelling by train, the location is excellent as it is just outside the main station. Check-in and check-out were both very efficient and the staff were cheerfully helpful. The only type of room available when I booked was an economy double which meant that it was very small, but at budget prices in Japan you have to expect this. Breakfast was good but I have had better breakfasts in other Toyoko-inn hotels. We were in Morioka for the sansa odori drumming and dancing festival at the beginning of August - not well-known outside Japan but this was one of the highlights of our trip so it would be well worth your while timing a visit during the first four days of August if you can.
