Description
It is a ryokan of Gosho-zukuri style building with corridors, built and decorated with much cypress and marble. It is a prominent Japanese ryokan with beautifully painted ceilings and fusuma sliding doors. It stands on a beach. It has a variety of baths, Genroku-buro reproducing the history of Ibusuki's special Sunamushi-buro or hot sand bath, an outdoor bath, a sauna and more.
The Hakusuikan offers excellent tea ceremony dishes and Japanese classic type of restaurant.

“Interesting experience worth going to”
I enjoyed this sand onsen for its uniqueness; the orderliness of the process; a gentle therapeutic effect on body aches and fatigue. I got it free of charge, but even if I have to pay for the experience I would (about 15k JPY). Of course, there are other onsens - indoor and outdoor as well. La… more

“A must visit in Ibuski”
Having an in-room onsen tub was a plus for a quick dip. The sand bath is a wonderful experience and tasting various Shochu after the onsen was a treat. Visiting the Satsuma museum is also a must. Service is also very friendly, attentive and efficient

“Great hotel,friendly staff”
It's better to be famous than to meet. I feel at home when I step into the hotel. All the staff are very polite. The room is very large and comfortable, and there is an incomparable sea view. The only drawback is that there are no convenience stores or restaurants nearby.

“First time in Ibusuki”
A night stayed at Ibusuki Hakusuikan PRO: Nice hotel environment. Excellent staffs. Detailed explanation on hotel facilities and opening hours on arrival.
