“Great place to see traditional Japanese style Tatami room and meet other travellers.”
Our stay here was great, tried traditional food cooked over open flames with other guests. The atmosphere was very sociable. The laundry and kitchen facilities were very handy! Great food with good prices just down the road. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good hiking around the area also.

“1 night in Hakone - excellent”
Given the recent weather conditions (typhoon hagibis and lots of rain), we weren't sure if it was going to be worth making the 4 hour trip to Hakone (the trainline from Hakone Yumoto station was down so replacement bus services were in place). “Would book it again!”
A really nice guest house. The facilities were new and clean. There were enough showers and toilets. The staff was nice, young people that spoke somewhat English. “Good place for a night at Hakone ”
Guesthouse is very well situated close to Gora station. Japanese style room was very clean as well as bathroom. Common kitchen is available too but I recommend dinner around BBQ, except if you don’t like fish. Ambiance was fabulous and staff very kind A great step on the road from Tokyo to Kyoto

“Good hotel environment with single rooms available”
The room I stayed in slept 3 people comfortably and had a small enclosed patio. I really liked the Japanese style mattresses, but one of my friends said it was too thin but with the addition of another mattress she slept really well.
