in general , I would say that is' a pretty good experience. The beds are comfortable, seems clean. the perks of having free drinks station, ramen (we didn't get to try because we had the later dinner slot at 8pm and was too full )is nice to have. we got the room on the 6th floor, and was told that it's one of the few rooms that had hot spring in room. the hot spring water is the clear type, which i would have preferred it to be other milky ones. The best experience we had was in the dining restaurant. The staff that helped us was so nice and attentive. I think i would choose another place next time i visit.

Tsuki no Yado Sara was well worth the price and value for their collection of guest services and amenities at the hotel. Tsuki no Yado Sara was well worth the price and value for their collection of guest services and amenities at the hotel. The hotel itself is either a 15 minute walk from the Hakone-Yumoto station or you can take that little shuttle bus for about 200 yen to the hotel. Each room has a private bath on the balcony for those who are more into “alone-sens” like my wife, versus the public onsens. There is a public onsen on the 6th floor for both men and women or you can reserve a private onsen on the same floor. The price to stay at the hotel also includes dinner and breakfast and it was quite worth it considering the choices. For dinner you can choose between Wagyu Shabu shabu or Sukiyaki and Seafood Shabu shabu. Breakfast is a collection of traditional Japanese assortments which we were delighted with. There is also a free Ramen time between 10:30-11:00pm every night. I realized that this hotel is part of the Dormy Inn family which now makes sense why there was a free ramen, an onsen and there is even free all you can drink beer and soft drinks as well. Ice cream/popsicles are also provided at no charge making this experience an absolute pleasure for us. The balconies also have a screen door so you can leave it open at night and get a little ASMR if you enjoy the running river as white noise. We would come back again, maybe in the fall when we don’t have to worry to much about the rain as we approach the typhoon season here in Japan.

as a hotel in japan, this hotel room is big and clean, foods is fine , provide free drinking, good for visitor I think. But as a guest who want enjoy good japanese hotspring hotel service, this hotel is not perfect. for example, the dinner start time be limited 17:30 or 20:00 even if I want start at 18:30. They provide air bath in balcony of room, but they don`t prepare water in bath before guest enter, guest need to release water by themselves,and this air bath `water is just water not hot-spring water. The last not good point is the bath clothes is ugly , you need to pay 540yen for use a lady Yukata. Totally,this hotel is fine, better than average,and depend on which point that you care for , price , service, foods, location. I will choose other hot-spring hotel in Hakone next time.
