I stayed at The Westin Yokohama for a short break during a visit to Yokohama, and it turned out to be a very memorable stay. I used my Marriott Bonvoy free night/points for this stay, but I was very kindly upgraded to a suite, which made the stay even more comfortable and relaxing. One minor point that caught my attention was a comment made at check-in regarding my previous stay history, but the overall check-in experience was very positive. The staff kindly allowed me to check in early, and while I was waiting for my room to be ready, I was invited to use the Club Lounge. I was also guided to a comfortable sofa with a power outlet, which was very helpful. The Club Lounge and pool were both enjoyable, and the hotel had a calm, relaxing, and refined atmosphere. I was also impressed by the attention to detail during turndown service, where a mouse pad and glasses cleaner had been thoughtfully placed in the room. I ordered a wagyu burger through room service, but the portion was more generous than I expected and I could not finish it. I assumed it would simply be cleared away during turndown service, but instead, the staff carefully arranged it so that I could continue eating it later. It was a small moment, but it reflected the hotel’s warm and thoughtful hospitality. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with excellent service, comfortable facilities, and many memorable details. I would be happy to stay again when visiting Yokohama.

I have visited the Club Lounge on the 22nd floor of Westin Hotel Yokohama on three separate occasions — in October 2023, January 2025, and April 2026 — each time as a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member staying on a club floor. What follows is an account that only three visits can produce. The lounge commands a sweeping panorama of the Minato Mirai waterfront. That view alone would justify the visit, but the more lasting impression is the quality of the space itself: a calibrated stillness that sets it apart from the crowded, transactional lounges found elsewhere in the city. The lounge operates in distinct time phases. Café hours in the afternoon are quiet and personal — staff bring coffee directly to your table at a temperature that feels considered rather than incidental. Cocktail hour transforms the room entirely; Champagne-house sparkling wine flows alongside a selection of Yokohama craft beers, including a wheat ale and a lager that feel genuinely local rather than decorative. Late evening, the cordial time, returns the space to the composed, adult atmosphere it was always meant to be. Experiencing all three in a single day reveals the lounge for what it is: not an amenity, but an architecture of the stay itself. On my third visit, I brought my two-year-old child. The lounge permits children under 12 until 17:00, which we observed without issue. I returned solo for the later cocktail hour and found that the constraint, once accepted, actually sharpens the experience — the evening session has a distinct character as a gathering place for adults. The food menu is deliberately concise. A mushroom soup anchors the savoury options with quiet depth; a shirataki noodle dish with mushrooms and lemon offers an unexpected brightness that cleanses the palate between drinks. The hotel's signature curry has been consistent across all three visits — reassuring in the best possible sense. The recently added Asahi tornado dispenser produces a visually engaging pour with notably fine carbonation. Staff quality is a defining advantage here. A standing bartender will prepare standard cocktails — I had a Campari orange on my last visit — without hesitation, a responsiveness that many lounges of equivalent standing do not offer. For those considering a club floor stay at Westin Yokohama: the lounge alone justifies the incremental cost. Combined with the complimentary breakfast at PACIFIC TABLE on the third floor (available through Platinum status), the cumulative value of a single night is difficult to match in this market. Journey time from Haneda Airport is around 30 minutes. Registration and check in was swift ,polite and efficient with a mixture of Japanese and western staff at the front desk . You swipe your key to open the glass door to enter the area to get the lifts/ elevator and once in the lift you swipe your key and get taken to your floor. Once you open the door to your room the lights automatically switch on. The room was very clean and modern with some high tech features like the automatic curtains, the heated toilet seat and self flushing mechanism and the bidet function. Lots of USB sockets and good WIFI .The only thing I could not find was an iron and ironing board. The shower was just right , not too powerful with plenty of space and a good non slip floor. Bed was very comfortable. Sound proofing good between rooms but you could hear outside noise via the windows but it was not disturbing. I managed to sleep well . The area around the hotel is very modern ,safe and clean , there is a LAWSON mini supermarket across from the hotel accessible via an escalator. For a slightly longer walk about 12-15 minutes you can get to two shopping areas one is next to the Sakuragichō railway station and the other area is along the Icho -Dori Ave , both areas have lots of shops and restaurants. Despite not receiving any BONVOY points for my stay I will say this is one of the best BONVOY group hotels I have stayed in , great staff , helpful and professional.

The Westin Yokohama offers a great central location between the Yokohama train station and the Port. The serene design is complemented by the kind and thoughtful staff. We generally stay for a week in late April/early May and are always delighted. The hotel restaurant, Pacific Table, is excellent and offers tasteful selections for every palate. The rooms are well designed, maximizing space and comfort. As always, though, it is the staff who are the differentiator. Service in Japan is world-class and worthy of note. For our stays, this and last year, we would like to commend Shirayama-san, Executive Pastry Chef, who we've had the great pleasure to know for many years, Kanda-san, Restaurant Manager in the Pacific Table and his entire team, especially Imasha-san, who greeted us so cheerfully every morning, Andrew Gee, the uplifting Lobby Manager and Kim-san, the very calm, delightful and capable presence in the Executive Lounge.
