“Convenient location around 1 hour drive from Fukuoka Airport”
We chose to stay at Satsuki Besso as it was closed to Fukuoka and because it stated that there is a family bath. “very nice ryokan but far from kumamoto”
this is a great ryokan. everything you expect. but note it's quite far from kumamoto. Luckily we hired a car and drove from Fukuoka (as we were doing road trip around kyushu island) . but if we didn't drive a car, not sure how we would get here. The Onsen is a must try. “I love this place!!!”
This place have a indoor and outdoor onsen. You can choose temperature that you want. The onsen open 6am-9am and 6pm-12pm. In 6am and 11pm you can use the onsen like a private onsen because noone is coming!!! It very relax and fresh. However the breakfast is japanese food buffet!!! All you can eat!… more

“Nice boutique ryokan”
We checked into the ryokan about 630pm into one of the Japanese styled rooms on the 2nd floor. The room was not very large. Just enough for the 2 beds.
