Right next to Nijo Castle, close to bus and metro stops. The shared areas were cleaner than we expected. The beds were comfortable, and the ventilation worked well. The shared area had a microwave, coffee, tea, and snacks available. They provide everything you need for hygiene, including pajamas. We had two fantastic nights. Thank you.

“Perfect cabin stay with uber comfort and space”

We were so blown away by the First Cabin. Our first cabin hostel experience and that too after a good 10 days of hopping about in Japan. We reached past evening but the staff was so helpful, they checked us in immediately. The cabins are quiet, beautiful, spacious and feels luxury. For the business cabins its absolutely worth spending that little extra bit, they even have a TV in every cabin. The onsens are the most intriguing part after the array of toiletries for guests. The common space is well crafted, spacious and we met some crazy Canadian rockers during our stay. Sparkling wine in the morning, with a cute cafe right outside if you wanna grab a quick breakfast. The location is perfect, right outside the Nijo castle. You can take buses from the major crossing out front. We loved our stay so much that we extended and moved to their gorgeous, huge suites upstairs. Worth every penny for a trendy place like this! Highly recommend!

“Stay for 3 nights in business cabin”

Very friendly people working there - supporting with any question and problem one has. Everything is very clean and quiet. The cabins are not big but as much as one would need and the spa area is amazing!Funny extra: 7:00 am free sparkling wine

This was my first experience at a capsules hotel. I was so excited to check in. What surprised me is the check-in time at this hotel, at 5 pm, not a 1 min before. It was very frustrating as the check-out from my hotel in Tokyo was at 10 am, so I was homeless for 7 hours with my luggage. I tried to spend some time in Tokyo before going to the train station and I slowly begun my journey to Kyoto in order to arrive at check in-time. I arrived at 4 pm exhausted, wanting a cold shower and a bed, but the hotel staff didn't allow me to check in until its precisely five. I left my luggage there and went for lunch, came back at 5 and checked in. To my very surprise, most rooms were empty. So there was not a reason for refusing to check me in early. The rooms were tiny but spotless and there's a beautiful common area with a coffee machine and snacks that I really loved. Many people occupied that room and I got to meet wonderful people. The bathrooms were spotless and spacious and I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. There's even a money exchange machine at the reception. Very nice experience and overall stay. The only issue is the check in time. Hotel management should change it to 3 pm just like any other hotel and be more flexible with clients traveling long distances. I know rules are rules but empathy goes a long way.
