Good hotel, close to Kyoto train and bus station. Rooms are of a good size and have good Wi-Fi, tv, safe and kettle. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom is compact with very small bath. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a suite of lockers on the ground floor which are very useful. Breakfast is excellent with various styles of food available. Recommended

I booked the hotel through a accommodations and bullet train package deal. It's located close to the Shijo subway station. The hotel is clean, staff friendly and helpful, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included in the deal. I opted for the Japanese option. The food was good and fresh coffee was available. 宿泊込みの新幹線ツアーで当ホテルに宿泊しました。地下鉄の四条駅や繁華街に近く、コンビニもすぐそこにありました。 ホテルは清潔でスタッフは親切丁寧に対応下さいました。枕は堅かったですがベッド自体は寝心地が良かったです。 朝食付きのプランでして、和食か洋食を選ぶことができました。和食の豚汁が美味しかったです。

“Good sized double room. Smokey atmosphere.”

I would have given this hotel 5 stars but for the fact that our tour operator had booked us a double room for 5 nights in the “smoking” side of the hotel and I could hardly breathe as the smell of smoke was so strong. I would have given this hotel 5 stars but for the fact that our tour operator had booked us a double room for 5 nights in the “smoking” side of the hotel and I could hardly breathe as the smell of smoke was so strong. It even permeated the air conditioning in our room. Apart from that the room was a good size, the hotel had good laundry facilities and an ice-making machine (which we needed as it was 33 degrees in Kyoto when we came in May). The breakfast was good when they remembered to get in some fruit and cereal. They did that for the first couple of days and then stopped. I had to ask them to provide that again as I didn’t fancy a fully-cooked Japanese breakfast at 8am every morning. The service was friendly and efficient and I would recommend this hotel as it was very well located with lots of good restaurants around for dinner in the evening.

“Value to money ”

We chose this hotel to stay in Kyoto for 2 nights. Location is good, near Karasuma station and plenty of food choices nearby. Bus stops are near so you can get to the temples, shrines and other tourist destinations. Overall the hotel is good value for money. Service as usual in Japan is very good.… more

We chose this hotel to stay in Kyoto for 2 nights. Location is good, near Karasuma station and plenty of food choices nearby. Bus stops are near so you can get to the temples, shrines and other tourist destinations. Overall the hotel is good value for money. Service as usual in Japan is very good. Room (Twin) was comfortable although they are still using winter quilts so I got quite hot. There appears to be a mixture of tourists and business guests. I first came to Kyoto back in 2007 and since then there has been an explosion in Tourism. They come from everywhere, Australia, Europe and Asia. Its great for local businesses but does detract from the place. Internet was good and free breakfast was adequate. Overall, if you get a good rate its not a bad alternative for Kyoto.

My room is a standard one with acceptable size and fare price. It offers free breakfast so it is an additional point for me. However the parking space is extremely small so it took some time for us to park the car. The location is acceptable with 10 mins to the main street for me with the restaurants and shops.But mostly we were driving with car around the city.
