“Comfortable, clean and close to the station”

Stayed here on a tour. Hotel is located quite close to the station if you want to catch the train into Kyoto centre - not a difficult task at all. Hotel staff were very friendly. Lots of variety at breakfast, both western and Japanese food. Room was comfortable. Would reccomend.

Stayed here for four nights in 2 rooms . One large and one very small. Both rooms extremely clean and serviced well daily . Stayed here for four nights in 2 rooms . One large and one very small. Both rooms extremely clean and serviced well daily . Comfortable beds apart from the pillows which were up there with the worst I’ve ever slept on hard and lumpy almost as if filled with cat litter. Convenient location next to a rail station and outside a taxi rank . Area surrounded with many restaurants although a lot with Japanese menus only . Convenience store off the main entrance selling most things you could need , also had automatic teller machine. Would recommend this hotel

“Great location - I’d stay here again”

We stayed here for 5 nights and the location was great! It’s literally 1 minute away from Saiin train station, and near a bus stop for lots of buses too. There was a massive 7/11 on the ground floor with loads of pre-made meals and fruit smoothies. There seemed to be a brothel on this street, but it didn’t bother us, there was no rowdiness. There were also a number of restaurants around the hotel incl McDonald’s. By far the best thing about staying here was the amazing Indian restaurant called Syorai Kitchen Saiin which was a few doors down from McDonald’s away from the hotel. It had the most delicious food at the lowest prices and was immaculately clean. We loved it so much, we went there every day when we discovered it halfway through our stay! You could get a meal with curry, chicken tikka, salad, mango lassi and a massive naan bread for 1200 yen! The hotel staff were always helpful and they stored our luggage on checkout day for several hours. The main reason we chose the hotel was for the pool. Whilst you have to pay 1100 yen per person each time you use the pool/gym it was worth it, because the pool was large and was a beautiful temperature (and you can wear a swimsuit). But if you think you’re going to be able to play and splash around with your family in this pool, think again! It’s a very serious pool with each lane allocated to either walking or swimming laps, no “free” area as such. They’re strict on the swimming cap and goggles rule, so you need to bring them, but they do provide you with a towel to use. The supervisors/life guards are lovely and friendly and provide their instructions in a very gentle manner. There are also 2 spas (both very hot!) an onsen for each gender where you gave to be naked (we didn’t use it) and a generous change room with lockers and a seating area with a free massage chair to use. It is closed on mondays though. The room itself was a good size although a little outdated, and fairly clean. The aircon worked well and there is a small fridge and a desk and chair in the room as well as a large wardrobe. The room is serviced daily and they also provide a clean set of pyjamas to wear each night. Unfortunately the hotel only provides one physical room key per room which is quite dirty, but you can leave your key at reception anytime so if you need to share the key you can do so. The pillows were also super uncomfortable and were mainly filled with hard beans with a bit of wadding on top and were too high and hard. We asked for other pillows, but they only had a couple of very flat polyester pillows we could join together to make one mediocre pillow, so only 1 of the four of us got a good pillow. There is no safe in the room, so I lugged our passports around every time we went out. I’d definitely stay here again!

“Nice hotel”

The rooms are clean and nice, the staff is nice and professional. The breakfast is Japanese and western and just great. Unfortunately the spa is not for people with tatoos - not even covered. That's the only minus
