Lovely hotel. The staff is very friendly. The food preparation is excellent. We did the gourmet multi-course kobe beef dinner - very memorable and special. “Top-tier hotel”
The service was amazing, the room was beautiful, and the plum soda was really good! It was really nice to be able to take a relaxing bath in the cypress tub after a full day of walking around.

First time staying kyoto; very happy with this ryokan. Tatami floors, large bathtub (big enough for two people), rain showerhead, free snacks and refillable drinks (the plum pop soda was amazing). One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at with incredible service and kind hotel staff. Quiet neighborhood and a bit of a walk to the sights but very relaxing place to stay
