Very cool and high-tech. The rooms were a bit cozy, but the hotel is very clean, and also secure. Walking distance from many attractions. Features laundry the front desk staff are super helpful. It's in a quiet alleyway and it's easy to fall asleep without any trouble. The washrooms are down the hall but I never waited to use them. Showers are on ground floor, but there's plenty of them, so no need to worry about waiting there either.

I came across this hotel when I was looking for a place to stay a night during my last trip to Kyoto. I'd say that I am very happy about it. The hotel is located near to Nishiki Market and it is accessible to the central district of Kyoto. The amenities are good for a budget trip. Very clean comfort rooms, shower rooms, and the room we stayed in good for 2 persons. The staff were friendly and helpful. And it's cool to have experienced their automated checkout procedure. I'd love to stay here again if I am in Kyoto again.

if you don't need the bells and whistles of a hotel, then defintely check out the Pocket hotel. Clean and secure - nothing to worry about. Quiet and I mean quiet hotel. Friendly staff - we arrived around 7 and started to check in, the self KIOSK wanted a QR code didn't have one, the staff was right there to assist. The pictures on their website is exactly what you see. All rooms, and access to the washroom/laundry room is via your card key. you don't need to bring any ammenities, except maybe your hair brush :) as bedding, PJ's toothbrush, shower soap/shampoo, slippers are all provided. the main garbage bin are located in the hallway of each floor and yes they recycle. We were central to everywhere we wanted to be. If you select the breakfast option, you have your choice of 2 locations, one less than a minute away( literally around the corner the the right) and the other about a 2-3 minute walk to the left. Bus stops are just down the road and will take you to the Kyoto station. Depending what you're looking to do, all is either within walking distance, bus ride, subway or train ride away. there is also phamplets and maps in the main lobby to assist you if need and some of the staff speak english but don't fret because if the attending staff doesn't speak english, they will find one who does :) and offer their perference for getting around the city Would definetly look for more hotels/hostels(depending on what you would classify this as) as such, as we enjoyed this more than a normal hotel room. keep up the good work staff.

A middle-age man at the reception was very courteous, he bowed to me every time he saw me, must give him a credit. Not very comfortable drinking from the tap water. But the water tasted okay.
