“Absolutely lovely!”
Stayed one night in a sea facing 10-tatami Japanese room on the fourth floor. The ryokan was last renovated in 2023 so everything was in a very good condition. Best view in the Matsushima bay. The reception staff can almost always speak very good English, if not they are very helpful nonetheless. This is a very good authentic Japanese Onsen/Ryokan hotel. It is mainly focused on Japanese guests as almost none of the information is in English. Also staff speaks limited English. “Views of the beautiful pine islands”
Modern ryokan style propery with great views of Matsushima Bay. Our corner suite had wonderful sunrise views of the pine islands. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The meals are extraordinary. Each course is a work of art. We also enjoyed a private hot springs experience.
