Me and my partner stayed here for one night for my birthday. It’s located in Yamanashi prefecture which is a popular wine production area with picturesque mountains . We used a hire car to get here and parked in one of the many car parks the hotel has to offer (free of charge). It’s not only a hotel, but you could spend some time here looking at the art work it has on display ( in this case the umbrellas at the time of my visit), visit the small array of shops and restaurants and even try out the swimming pool which is also open to the public. As we arrived we walked over to reception we were checked in fairly quickly. A staff member showed us the way to our room which was located near the shops and restaurants. Our room was huge it felt like an apartment almost , but without the kitchen. The room was open planned apart from the bathroom being closed off. Our room had a kettle a selection of green tea, coffee and water. A wireless speaker, tv and WiFi. There was also a balcony which was amazing during the evening with the light switched on. They provided outside pillows and a yoga mat, but as it was raining we didn’t really get a chance to sit outside. The mattresses were soft and extremely comfortable, PJs and slippers were provided also. The bathroom had all the shower amenities available from razors, toothbrushes, shampoo etc. There was also a hairdryer. The site itself had a pool you could use free of charge if staying at the hotel (show the staff member the piece of paper you were given at reception) . It’s very big and spacious with a wave machine, sauna and a kids area. There was also an onsen on site which had male/female and mixed. You had to use a code that you was given at reception to access the onsen, so remember it at all times or take the piece of paper with you. The mixed onsen you also have to wear special clothes that are provided inside. I would say just be careful the mixed bath is really close to the other baths that If your not careful could mistaken it for maybe the male or female bath (although these did appear they were inside the building rather than outside). As it’s very country side we also noticed that all the restaurants onsite have last orders at 8:30pm. We searched outside the area, but again most places closed early or we had to drive 20 mins for a restaurant that was open to 11pm. Just be prepared and wary of the time. We managed to get ourselves a place at Otto Setto which was onsite, however we was a tad late and thought they wouldn’t accept us as last orders were from 8:30pm. They were so kind and understanding that they still prepared and served us the 10 small course cuisine. This is an expensive restaurant costing 30,000 yen for 10 courses (x2) and one bottle of rose wine, but it was very nice experience and the food was great. We also had breakfast included, we could eat at the YY Grill if you missed the first morning session they said it would automatically roll over into the brunch session which started from 11:30am. As we are late risers it was perfect for us to go for the brunch option. when we got outside the restaurant there was already a queue of people waiting for it too open. It was a buffet style brunch which served lots of different types of foods. The food was nice, but I found there was a heard of people queuing to grab food, so had to wait a little while. Overall I had a fantastic one night stay here and I made so many fantastic memories, I will never forget! 💍.

“Best stay for a ski trip in Yatsugatake”

It was our first family ski trip. And boy aren't we glad we spent it in Hoshino Risonare. Everything made easy for a first timer. As guests we get to rest ski gears for free and can take shuttle bus to the ski parks. They also helped us arranged ski lesson for my 7 year old son, which he enjoyed very much and at the end of one lesson he got the confidence of a professional ski athlete already. Also keep in mind that Yatsugatake is a wine county, so you'll be enjoying endless choices of Japanese fine wine. Some are sooooo good I actually took back to the city. The room is very unique as well, we had the wine inspired room with maroon themed color, very spacious, very clean, very homey. And dining is also superb! We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel enjoying best steak, fresh produce and incredible service. Lunched are being enjoyed at the restaurants alongside the street with Italian feels. And for my son, he cannot forget the heated indoor pool with slides, wave pool and fun fountains, so massively huge yet it's indoor and warm even in the winter.

This hotel is located in north part of Yamanashi prefecture. It’s one of the hotels of Hoshino Resorts group which is a very famous resort company in Japan. The accommodation fee is different from room type and date, but you will pay approximately 20,000 yen to 40,000 per one room for one night. Resonare Yatsugatake was designed by Mario Bellini, one of the greatest architectural designer in the world. Therefore, it is fashionable and stylish, but it has cozy and warm atmosphere. The room types can be roughly divided into 2 types, Residence room and Hotel room. Hotel room is a normal type room as same as other hotels, but Residence room looks like a house, so you can be relaxed as if you were in a house. There are many room types and ranks, so you can choose one which suits your plan. All rooms are very clean, fashionable, and cozy. For example, the colors are unified in wine red and white, and the furniture makes the most of the good point of wood. This wooden furniture makes cozy atmosphere. This hotel has many programs to experience. Whichever you choose, you can feel relaxing atmosphere of Yatsugatake. On a recent visit, I experienced cycling around the hotel and it was amazing. I rent an electric bicycle, and went through the beautiful forest with fresh air and many kinds of natural plants. During the cycling for 2 hours, I stopped by at an ice cream shop. I ate a fresh milk ice cream made in Yatsugatake with seeing beautiful mountain scenery. A restaurant is also great. This hotel has the restaurant named YY grill. The restaurant design uses grape as a motif like wine wood box wall, grapevine trellis ceiling, vineyard paintings. At dinner time, we can choose one main dish, and pick side dish and dessert from buffet. The menu detail is depends on the seasons, but you can choose the main dish from beef or chicken or seafood. They all are Italian style, high quality and very delicious. It’s very popular accommodation, so it’s very difficult to book this hotel. Especially, tourist seasons such as summer vacation are very crowded. If you want to stay in such seasons, you need to book 3 months before you stay. In conclusion, this hotel is worth paying money. If you don’t decide yet whether you stay at this hotel or not, I strongly recommend you to stay at. It should be your wonderful travel experience.

Unfortunately JP people don't really know Halloween and so it appears only superficial. Some eatery opens only lunch and dinner hours. 日本でやるHALLOWEENには限界があるよう。 雰囲気がとても表面的でなんだか残念に思いました。 お蕎麦やさんもLASTオーダーが2時ぐらいで、閉まっていました。　コロナで客足も少ないのだから、少し柔軟に営業すれば良いのに…　と思いました。
