I've been Japan many times, overall most of the hotels staffs are nice enough. This hotel was a stop for my alpen route. I book a Japan style room with dinner and breakfast plan for 2 days. All meal were satisfied and the food of dinner were different for my 2 days. Especially I like the breakfast very much since many choices. The Onsen was just good for relaxing after the Aplen route. The price 30,600Yen for my 2 days stay was very great for such traditional Royan. I recommend to stay there if you would like to go for Aplen route.

“Good onsen experience”

Lovely open air onsen and great products to try. Overall good customer service. Breakfast was cleared too soon without a refill. Staff could not articulate very well the different kaiseki dishes. Room was cozy with great view. Actually spotted a bear afar.

We chose this hotel as our base for 2 nights to kick off our alpine journey. It was a right choice made when we experienced the warm hospitality of the staff especially the english-speaking driver who picked us up to and from the bus stop. We came in from Shimano-omachi station and headed straight to Kurobe Dam before the hotel pick up at bus stop. The wonderful thing is the quick responses I got when I emailed the hotel about my arrival and preferred pick up times. I did not have to call hotel to confirm again. The room for 2 of us is spacious in traditional tatami ryokan style. We even have a view of the mountains and the fields. The meals were good, not spectacular. We also enjoyed the big lobby rest area while having some water or tea. I would recommend this to groups of friends and families.

Picked this hotel as my destination of the 1-day Tateyama-Kurobe Alpen Route journey, as the Hotel is convenient located in the Omachi-Onsen area, one of the stops enroute from Ogizawa to Nagano. The Hotel has quite some age but one can tell that some parts have undergone renovation. Whilst there are a public bath (and an outdoor bath), I chose a guest room with private bathroom. My room is very spacious and could probably fit a family of six. The view is spectacular. I woke up with a view of the serene farm and greens after a great night name. the public bath is good. the Outdoor bath is clean. They are both spacious. Amenities were however quite average. Breakfast was so-so. Choice of food was limited. As the Hotel was greeting a number of group tours, the dining area was extremely crowded.
