We loved this little hotel and the super wonderful and friendly staff. The room was huge, with a view over the park, two lovely, comfortable beds and a gorgeous bath. The hotel is close enough to the underground station to walk (with a bus stop just outside) and there are several eating places nearby (we found a tiny but great diner just down the road) plus a great burger place next door. The breakfast at the hotel is a simple but delicious traditional Japanese one, started with tea and ending with a great coffee. We would completely recommend this lovely hotel.

I’ve stayed at many hotels even Hilton properties around the world and even manage a hotel myself. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel is because they’re family friendly even though it’s business class hotel. For Japan size matters and yet the rooms are large in size and could comfortably fit my family. The staff gives excellent service and you really feel the “omotenashi” here. They have deep soaking tubs, showers, bidet and great amenities while they’re located just a short taxi ride from the strip in Dotonbori. There is a park close by great for walking and stretching which I highly recommend not to mention the city metro close by. I will be coming back to this hotel as it is by far one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed.

“Large room & true Omotenashi - MUST READ”

This is one of the largest hotel rooms I have stayed in Japan at this price range. The building is small and relatively narrow, bit the room is extremely spacious. I think there are only two rooms per floor. The heat worked very well. There are big windows for plenty of natural light. The only downside is that the door to the (narrow) balcony cannot be opened so you cant step out. Not sure why. The big PLUS was how the Manager, Maeda-san treated us. He was very courteous and helpful with all our requests. We asked him for advice about where to park and he suggested using the coin park across the way that listed a max rate of 1.800JPY per day. We parked the car and did not move it between Jan 2nd and Jan 5th at about 11:00AM. We were expecting to pay 1,800 x 3 = 5,400 JPY. However I was shocked to see the total charge of nearly 16,500 JPY. Apparently the vehicle must be moved everyday to qualify for that 1,800JPY max rate. It certainly wasn't clear anywhere so I complained to Maeda-san. He spent a lot of time on the phone trying to resolve the issue with the parking place (remote management). Unfortunately he could not do anything but promised to resolve the issue and asked me for my mobile number. I wrote this off as "Gaijin tax" - for not knowing how to read the small print. To my absolute surprise, more than a month later, Maeda san called me and told me that he had negotiated a refund! He asked for my bank info and the parking place refunded 12,000 JPY. I was totally amazed that he had diligently followed on this issue and convinced the parking company to refund the amount. Thank you Maeda-san for your Omotenashi and genuine hospitality. You can be sure we will stay here again when we are in Osaka. Its a great location and the hospitality is TOPS!

“Japanese treat”

This is a great boutique hotel. Service is immaculate and staff goes all the way to make you feel comfortable. We had a superior room on the 10th floor with views on Utsubo Park. This is a great boutique hotel. Service is immaculate and staff goes all the way to make you feel comfortable. We had a superior room on the 10th floor with views on Utsubo Park. Very spacious and quiet. Japanese breakfast included. Try the natto! Utogaria is a superb little restaurant a few blocks away and you have to go there for a great dinner. Only small point of improvement is the bill. We would have liked an itemized one.
