We chose this hotel on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. Make sure to book a room that includes breakfast and evening lounge. That alone made the stay incredible value. Basic room that was slightly more "western" than some of the other hotels we stayed at during our trip. Convenient location right above a train station made getting around Osaka (and day trips to Kyoto) a breeze.

“Best service of any hotel we stayed in recently in Japan”

We recently spent 4 nights here . Whilst the room wasn’t huge , its setup with the separate shower and toilet was great . What sets this hotel apart is its location and its service . We recently spent 4 nights here . Whilst the room wasn’t huge , its setup with the separate shower and toilet was great . What sets this hotel apart is its location and its service . Location - right above the exit to mimominchi station and the entry to the station is literally across the road . Osaka is such an easy city to traverse and the rail system great . From our local station we went to Dotonbiri / Umeda / Kyoto etc …. You name it . The hotel sits right in the middle of Minamimorimachi (南森町), a retail district in Osaka, known for the Osaka Tenmangu Shrine and the Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street. The shopping street is not even 100m from the hotel . We also walked the 1.5km from the hotel to Osaka Castie and back , an easy walk too . We stayed in a premium room that gave us free mini bar and access from 4-9pm each night to ‘ Sakura’ , at night the Premium lounge . You may not think a big deal , but after a long day on your feet , dropping into the lounge for a nice wine / beer etc and some great snacks was so good . This was such a surprise pleasure! The breakfast at Sakura was the best we had in Japan , and we stayed in 5 different hotels across the country . The front desk team were amazing . Forwarded our bags to our next hotel for us . Booked a taxi when we needed one , nothing was too much for them . Without doubt best service we received in Japan . May not sound like a ‘ biggie’ , but some nights you may not want to head out to a restaurant , right across the road from the hotel a really nice Japanese supermarket that was superb . One night we even grabbed meals from there . Oh , and right underneath the hotel a great coffee shop and next to that your requisite 7/11 . We loved this hotel and loved Osaka!

“Lovely hotel , except if you need a gluten free diet!”

We had a three-night stay in a 12th-floor deluxe twin room with lounge access. At 24 sqm, I’m pleased we had not booked a room that was any smaller. Our room (as was the lobby and restaurant/lounge) was stylish with a well-thought-out layout of the bathroom with a separate toilet and a separate shower with great pressure. There were excellent amenities available in the reception, such as face masks. We loved the location of the hotel – in a quiet neighbourhood very close to exits from the metro, convenience stores, and a short walk to an interesting 2.6km long covered shopping arcade Tenjinbashi-suji, with its numerous cafes. So why only 4 stars? Because this hotel fails to cater for coeliac diets at both their breakfast buffet and in the food offered in the club lounge. On the first day, initially there was only fruit and yoghurt that I could safely eat even though I had written and advised them I was coeliac some one month in advance. Eventually, they did make me scrambled eggs /omelette each day, and there was fish available. By contrast, we stayed at The Osaka Hilton, as part of our Japan tour, after our time here. Their buffet dining room manager and chef were extremely helpful and ensured I had specially prepared gluten-free food.
