“A Very Zen Ryokan Experience”

“Quiet getaway for decent price”
Relaxing and decent value. Dinner was very good. The hot spring was nice. It seemed that the men's one wasn't very busy, so almost had the whole thing private. Staffs were very friendly and could communicate in English without problem.

“not enough words to explain, it must be done in person”
An introduction to the uniqueness of Japan, excellent, a bit off the beaten track, but taxis will take you there without a fuss, or a bus for that matter. We had friends deliver us there. Study a map carefully to see how to get there; it is interesting

“Ryokan Seryo is Excellent.”
Ryokan Seryo is ideally situated an hour N of Kyoto in a small town named Ohara. If you are looking for a peaceful respite from big cities in Japan, Seryo delivers on that! It a very traditional ryokan experience, professional staff and a stunning environment.
