Got in late but the staff was helpful and their English was better than my Japanese making it a quick check-in. The room is classic Japan Business Hotel style, small but everything you need still in the room. Very clean and well maintained for an older hotel. Water was extremely hot. Breakfast was a great selection but not westernized at all, so make sure you are comfortable with a good Japanese breakfast to start the day. Coffee in a Dixie cup added to the humor, but fit the situation perfect. You will have to pay to park in the area and walk back over as this is a crowded point in town, but the front desk will help with locating a spot, between 500-600 Yen overnight parking in the area should be expected.

This Toyoko Inn is a typical businessman’s hotel with minimum amenities but at the best prices around Japan. The rooms are small but efficient. Free WI-FI and LAN connection provided in rooms. The staff is super helpful and friendly. You get a basic Japanese breakfast included in the low price. This is a small hotel. Only 6 tables in the breakfast area. Wasn’t crowded like the Toyoko hotels in bigger cities. No pushy tourists experienced on this stay.

“clean and quiet”

This is a newer hotel - built in 2008/9 I believe, so everything is still in great condition. The largest room is a twin so we took 2 twin rooms for our family of 2 adults, 2 kids. This is a newer hotel - built in 2008/9 I believe, so everything is still in great condition. The largest room is a twin so we took 2 twin rooms for our family of 2 adults, 2 kids. There is only 1 twin room per floor so we were on separate floors - no big deal. Great value for the low price. This is a typical "business man's hotel" so not setup for a long stay (ie. no dresser or closest). We were there 11 nights. There is a wall mounted rod with hangers and luggage can be slide under the beds, which we did and used our suitcase as a dresser drawer. Typical to Japanese hotels, the rooms are compact but we weren't there to hang out in the room. Beds were firm and comfortable. Staff were excellent - one spoke perfect english. Each day we were asked if we wanted housekeeping, which we didn't always. On the days we declined room cleaning, they still delivered a bag of fresh towels and housecoats, There is a delicious complimentary breakfast each morning in the lobby - traditional japanese fare - miso soup, salad, rice balls, fish/eggs, buns, tea, coffee and juice. The salad and fish/egg platter changed daily so we enjoyed a unique choice each day. There is also a convention microwave and toaster oven in the lobby if you wanted to buy and prepare your own breakfast. Steps away from the train station but still incredibly quiet. In a perfect location for train access, shopping, tourist information, bus service, restaurants, etc. . If you are looking for a car rental, the Toyota rental shop is behind the hotel. Great staff (again one spoke perfect english) and you could park the car there each night, saving hotel parking fees. Highly recommend this hotel!
