“Quiet relaxing experience”
Used the hot spring spa at 13:00 for an hour while visiting Nikko. Small facility with 2 hot spring baths available, 1 inside and 1 smaller one outside. Has the pace to myself. Towels and soap / shower gels provided, cost was 1000yen. It was open 12:00 till 15:00 for none hotel guests.

“Nice environment”
Took the hotel pick up shuttle at the Nikko JR station, it took about 5 minutes to reach the hotel. There are quite a number of shops and restaurants nearby the hotel. The famous Toshogu which is the tomb of Tokugawa Ieyasuis located within 20 minutes with walk, and the Shinkyo bridge is even close… more

“Food can be better and check out should be extended to 11 am.”
The location is fantastic . Its within walking distance tp the Toshogo Shrines and Rinnoji Temple and just next to the shinkyo Bridge. However check in is a little messy and check out time is 10am which is a tad too early. The dinner menu is moderate, not fantastic as those in the ryokans in Fukuo… more

“I was expecting more…”
I’ve been to many Onsen in Japan and possibly I was expecting a bit more…the location is surely unbeatable, but the building need a lot of care, the room was very tired, marked walls, dirty windows, damaged tatami and cockroaches in front of the room….a proper shame when you think you go there to e… more

“Too Expensive for the experience”
Too Expensive!! i knew the cost when i booked and expected an awesome experience , which it was not. everything was at extra cost, towel, extra egg, extra blanket all not described in the booking but definitely took away from what should have been an excellent experience.
