“Very nice hotel but has a staff with bad attitude”

Pro: - Good location, near metro and JR stations - Nice and clean rooms - Very clean public bath, shower rooms and toilets - Most staffs are friendly, including front desk staffs and cleaning ladies Cons: - An old staff at the front desk with bad attitude towards foreigners that I had to interact with 3 out of 6 days I had stayed in a western single room here between 10-16 March 2017 (10-15 March for my friend). The room was tiny but very clean and well- equipped with all necessary stuffs such as free WI-FI, TV, fridge, dryer, alarm clock, etc. The shower rooms and a public bath on the first floor are very clean and there are toilets and wash basins on every floor. The location is great, only a 3 minutes walk to Minami-senju metro and JR stations. Despite limited English, most of the hotel staffs are friendly, except an old man with glasses at the front desk, who usually looks grumpy every time he has to interact with foreigners and I don’t think I'm imagining things. Here are examples of his behaviors: - He thanked all Japanese guests when they returned their room key but went silent with foreigners even though they returned the key immediately after them - When my friend and I asked for our room keys, he told us to wait in Japanese (Shotto matte), picked up the phone to ring someone and let us wait at least 5 minutes. - My friend, who had checked out one day earlier than me, asked that old guy if he could leave his luggage at the hotel and would be back to pick it up in the afternoon on the same day, all he got was "NO!". After I received the message from him, I asked the young male staff on the evening shift and he said it's ok if the hotel guest came back to pick up stuffs on the same day. Next morning, I asked the female staff about it again and her answer was the same. I still give 3 stars for this hotel as the hotel and the other staffs are nice but I’m not sure if I want to stay here again after my friend and I were treated rudely by that staff.
