“Perfect Ginza area hotel for the budget.”

Very good hotel in the Tokyo Ginza area for the budget Good location. Fair sized room. Basic breakfast. The top floor Onsen was a great bonus. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Really enjoyed my time at this hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and super patient with all my questions. The whole property is well maintained, and my room was very clean as well. If you've been to Tokyo, you know how tight space can be, but the room size was actually pretty decent for a family of 3. They also had these nice drawings on the walls that gave the place a cozy feel. Location-wise, it’s super convenient—just a quick 5-minute walk to the nearest metro station. The only slight downside is that the breakfast options were a bit limited, but honestly, it wasn't a big deal with so much good food around. I’d absolutely love to stay here again on my next trip!

*Retrospective review INTRODUCTION A 4-day 3-night stay at ibis Styles Tokyo Ginza East with my brother during one of Japan's Golden Week period. We have stayed at this property whenever we return back to Japan on our annual trips (travelled to Japan twice in 2026 so far) but never formally wrote a review. LOCATION We chose this hotel because it is generally walking distance from Tokyo station and getting around Tokyo from Tokyo station is the most convenient method of getting around. The walk from Tokyo station takes approximately 15-20 minutes, but it is an easy walk as there are not slopes. There are other subway lines nearby such as Takaracho station (Toei Asakusa Line), Hatchobori Station (JR - Keio Line and Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line). There are several convenience stores around the area including a Go-Kart shop just in front of the hotel steps. CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT The check-in process is quite fast, not sure was it because I am a regular guest at the hotel. Check-in generally takes about 5-8 minutes but be prepared to wait if there are many guests as there are only 2 counters available. ROOM We always got the Premier Room with 2 single beds whenever we stay at the property. Space is not a strength of Japanese hotels but the room is adequate for a comfortable stay. There is a bar fridge, kettles, iron and ironing board, a place to hang our clothes and store our luggage including a vanity table with mirror. Amenity kits and other essentials can be found at the hotel lobby beside the front desk, you can grab all your essentials there. BREAKFAST The breakfast spread is modest but adequate. I love Japanese breads! My brother enjoy the fried fish that the restaurant puts out for breakfast. Juices are available, along with the usual hot drinks. HOT BATH - INDOOR & OUTDOOR (HIGHLIGHT) I feel that the highlight of this hotel is the hot bath that is available to guests. There are male and female baths (female baths require a card access). The baths come with indoor and outdoor baths. The shower area is spacious and clean. OTHER FACILITIES There is a microwave oven and several washer & dryer at the top floor of the hotel, where the hot baths are. There is also an outdoor patio where you can have your meals if you have brought back food from outside. A vending machine is also situated there. OVERALL The staff were great and friendly, often chatting with guests and trying to make our stay comfortable. They are most obliging and willing to help us. Conversations happen in the English language which is always helpful. P.S. I have always stayed there and will continue to stay there when I am back in Tokyo.

We stayed for 3 nights. Check-in was fast and the hotel was quite new. The hotel is located close to some metro stations, so we always checked Google Maps before leaving the hotel. Ginza, Tokyo train station are within walking distance. The hotel is surrounded by small office buildings and is very quiet at night. For first-time travellers to Tokyo, I would not recommend this hotel as no nightlife in this area. If you like quiet area, this hotel is for you.
