It tries to be very upscale and it is a nice looking hotel. It is cheapish ( $160 night ) and worth the price and near enough to both central city and Ueno. It does NOT cater to tourists. Not a great stay at the Tokyo Garden Palace. While the location is just a 5 minute walk to Akihabara, the hotel feels tired and in need of an serious update. Hotel is big and lobby is big. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We managed to have early check in at 12pm for extra 3000YEN.
