We stayed her for a few nights at the beginning and end of trip and it ticked enough boxes. For the british reading this is a premiere inn without the breakfast option and needs some TLC and a refresh. What’s good: - The hotel is next to JR rail stations, one is the Yamote line which can get you to most places in Tokyo. - The beds are comfy - The staff are friendly and helpful - You can check in early for 1000 yen - You can leave your luggage for free in reception pre check in and post check out. - Room size for Japanese hotel rooms this was one of the biggest ones we stayed in. - Wifi is fast and reliable - every room has its own wifi. What needs improvement: - Full mattress protectors - Refresh - everything is a bit tired and a fresh lick of paint, some sanding, polishing and updated TV’s would be nice. - charging points - not all rooms had charging points between the beds. Plus different sockets had different charging capabilities- as in the ones near the kettle would charge devices fully but the ones between the beds / by the team would not. I would most likely stay here again because of the location, room size and the price. The main draw back is it does need some series TLC and refreshing.

Booked for a twin / double bed for the 3 of us. The room came with a double bed + a single bed. Location is conveniently located between the Okubo and Shin-Okubo stations and about 1km walk to Shinjuku. It can be quite noisy at night due to unloading activities. There is a flight of steps up to the hotel lobby on level 2 - so not suitable for those on wheelchair or strollers. There is a 24-hour Don Donkey next to the hotel and makes shopping convenient. Bathtub is deep but there is a high raised step into the toilet. The only issue for this hotel is the need to check out by 10am as compared to other hotels. Slightly older rooms still using Physical Key as compared to modern hotels. However, this works for us.

This was my third time staying at this hotel, a small-scale property with only six floors. The main reasons I choose this hotel are its reasonable room rates and its prime location. It is just one station away from JR Shinjuku Station and a 5-minute walk to JR Shin-Okubo Station on the JR Yamanote Line. The hotel is surrounded by plenty of eateries, cafes, convenience stores (Lawson, 7-Eleven, Family Mart and Aeon), and pharmacies. There's also a small Don Donki store next to the hotel, open 24 hours for leisurely shopping. Kabukicho and Shinjuku areas are within walking distance as well. The check-in process is quick and straightforward but getting to the tiny front desk is a bit of a hassle. To check in, you have to carry your luggage up around 20 steps as there is no escalator. The hotel lift is very small and can only accommodate two people with two pieces of luggage at a time. We booked a twin room for 5 nights. The room size was adequate for two people with medium-sized luggage but it felt a bit outdated. The room still uses a traditional key to open and lock the door. As expected, the bathroom was very small and equipped with basic amenities. The Wi-Fi in the room was weak, making browsing difficult. The hotel has a small café/restaurant that serves a simple breakfast set, not a buffet. This was one of the reasons we decided not to try it. One thing that disappointed me was the early check-out time of 10:00 AM which I think is too early. I believe the hotel should consider extending the check-out time to 11:00 AM or 12:00 noon for guests' convenience. Overall, this is a decent, simple, small-scale hotel with a great location.

“Good value”

The hotel is super convenient to a number of transport lines. Several reviews made a big deal about the stairs but they were not that bad (there are only about 17). Good value hotel however the beds are as hard as rocks - my only complaint really. Seriously considering popping next door to Donki to… more

The hotel is super convenient to a number of transport lines. Several reviews made a big deal about the stairs but they were not that bad (there are only about 17). Good value hotel however the beds are as hard as rocks - my only complaint really. Seriously considering popping next door to Donki to buy a futon to make the bed more comfortable- we have 3 more nights here and I’m not sure my back will cope!
