We really loved Jenny Lake Lodge and had few complaints. We traveled as a family of five adults sharing two duplex cabins for four nights, and the staff were kind enough to arrange that our rooms were in the same cabin so we could share a porch. They also graciously helped me over the phone before our trip to fix an error I made with our dining room reservations months earlier. I did find that I had no luck reaching the concierge on the phone or by email in the weeks before our arrival to help book a rafting trip, and I was given a disconnected number to do so via Jackson Lake Lodge, but I was eventually successful. The rooms were small but functional & well-equipped (if a tad short on outlets). A bit tight for 3, but comfortable for 2. As the rooms each had a queen & a twin bed, we didn't understand why the porch had only two rockers per room. We asked the concierge for a 5th chair, but they didn't bring one so we dragged out a straight-backed chair from one cabin (only one room in the duplex had one, oddly). The bathrooms were small but very nice & well-equipped. It was an odd choice to install rain shower heads, since the water sprayed wider than the tub. Also, as with many places, my 6' spouse bemoaned having to duck to wash his hair. The lodge had a nice salon with fireplace and a wonderful porch with lovely plants and rockers & benches overlooking the Tetons. It was a great place to sit. Recommendation: the staff could cover the chairs overnight when rain is expected so that they'd be dry the next day. Two of our four nights it rained overnight and the porch seating was all soaked in the morning when it would have been nice to sit outside. Oh, and ++ for the great bottle-filling station and the welcome cookies. Aside from a few minor misses with the concierge, the staff was wonderful and very friendly. We loved that the name tags showed their state or country of origin, and so we made a habit of asking everyone about home and their plans for off-season. The rate was a bit high for the size of the rooms, but they were stocked with supplies and the cost also included a fabulous breakfast and dinner at the dining room and a number of complimentary activities. This made the higher price well-worth it. We enjoyed the lodge activities - the naturalist, the wildlife rescue, the badminton. We did not try the bikes, but we loved the horseback riding - the wranglers were terrific. I really wish the sign-ups for horseback riding were at the front desk, rather than at the corral. First, because I completely forgot about it in the rush to check in (and the concierge did not mention it), so I didn't get to signing up until the next day (and missed out on a much better time slot for us). Second, because it was a bit confusing to figure out where to sign up. The concierge directed us to walk back to the corral, where there were no people in sight & the only building there said "private residence." We didn't want to disturb anyone, so we walked away & searched around. Eventually, we doubled back & noticed the signup sheet was on a clipboard next to the door. Better instructions - or better yet, a sign-up at the lodge desk - would have been much easier.

Jenny Lake is one of my favorite lodges and locations especially if you love nature and hiking that either ,moderate or difficult. The lodge is excellent , The staff, service, meals are excellent.

“Best Place in the Tetons”

Our second visit here. The cabins a nice. Great location at the base of the Tetons. Quiet and secluded in nature. Restaurant makes some good five course meals. We stayed 3 days and probably should have only purchased one or two days of meals as its a lot of food and bit over priced.

The lodge only houses registration, the restaurant and a really nice open area with separate seating areas within. The rooms are all individual cabins that are throughout the property. You can drive to your cabin and park beside it. The property is large and the roads winding, but the signage is really good. We had a cabin that was called a suite. It had a living area and a bedroom, with a bathroom that attached the 2 rooms, almost like a pass through. The king bed was comfortable and there was a lot of counter space in the bathroom. There is no air conditioning, but it was cool at night so we didn't need it. There was a room heater as well as a wood burning stove in the living area. There is no TV but you could get internet, but no wifi. As a city girl, I was a little disconcerted when I read a note in our room to let the management know immediately if we had a mouse or bat in our room. Evidently, they have a hard time keeping them out and I noticed that there was steel wool pushed into the wall almost all the way around the room. Thankfully, we didn't have any problems. If you like a more rustic area to vacation in, this is the place. While it's in the middle of the park, it is quite comfortable. Our room included a 5 course dinner in the dining room as well as breakfast. We were glad of this because this Lodge is in the center of the park and you'd have to drive quite a way to find other restaurants. The included meals were good. Dinner was a 5 course tasting menu and was very filling. You did get a couple of choices for each course. Breakfast was ordered from a menu. The service in the restaurant wasn't great. Everything is very slow. The server was friendly and helpful, just not very fast. My food had been delivered and was hot and I requested some ketchup. I know the server is busy and has others to wait on, but I watched him go to another table and then went to the computer to check them out and get their check, then take it back to them. In the meantime, I'm waiting for ketchup and my food is getting cold. I had to ask a second time and then he went and got it. A small complaint but cold potatoes just aren't great! As an aside, since we were in the middle of the park, we heard the male elk bellowing for females several times during the night as it is mating season for them. That was pretty cool.
