This Hotel is central in St Peter Port, the Bus Terminus is less than 10 minutes walk. The Hotel Staff are exceptionally helpful, from the Reception, Housekeeping and Restaurant staff, very helpful, friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. This Hotel has so many plus's, would not consider staying anywhere else. The Hotel is exceptionally clean and has the benefit of a Patisserie in the Hideaway. A first class memorable experience, with no negatives. We will return. Well done everyone at Moores. 5*++.

I have reviewed this hotel before but as that was 8 years ago I think its worth doing an updated review. Firstly the location which for many will be the most important aspect. Moores Hotel is in a superb location right in the centre of wonderful St Peter Port, you step out of the door and your into the traffic free cobblestoned street (The Pollet) that provides the town with most of its shops. One thing to note although Taxis can drop off the hotel does not have a car park but free parking is available down in the harbour area. A very short walk (literally a couple of minutes) takes you down to the scenic seafront overlooking the bay, the Marina and the harbour. Buses are available from either the seafront or for some routes from the Bus Station which is just a few minutes more walk along the front. The hotel itself is a wonderful blend of modern along with an old world elegance that sadly so many modern hotels lack. Since my last visit there has been a really good refurbishment of the main reception area and one of the bars which was a lovely place to go after dinner and chat with some very nice other guests who I met during my stay. The rooms are all well maintained and as well as a very comfortable bed was well equipped with tea making facilities, a fridge, a safe, an iron and ironing board and a comfortable seating area with coffee table. One lovely touch is that rather than the usual milk cartons that you get in most hotels at Moores you get a small bottle of fresh Guernsey milk which you can have as many refills of as you like during your stay. The hotel is also clearly doing its best to be environmentally friendly with products such as the soaps, shower gels and shampoo being natural products. They also give you the guest the opportunity to choose how often you have housekeeping clean the room, you can have every day if you feel you want it or to reduce the use of cleaning materials etc you can put a sign on the door to skip a day. The food is superb and you have three choices of where to eat Annies Hideaway with a lovely terrace to sit out on when the weather is good, JB Parkers which is has a very good menu and is a lovely comfortable relaxed area to eat in. The third option which I really enjoy eating in is the Conservatory restaurant, this is an extremally well priced set menu that changes daily with at least three choices of each course and you can have either a two course or three course meal for a set price. This is a silver service restaurant with a very high standard of service and superb food that I would expect to pay twice as much for if I was going to an external restaurant. Everything was fresh, cooked and presented perfectly it made dinner something to really look forward when I was on my way back from my days out. I know this is a long review but I wanted to do the hotel justice and give it the credit it deserves, if you look at my other reviews on here for other places you will see I tend to try and give as much detail as possible. This is a quality hotel in one of the best location on a lovely island and its management and staff are a credit to it and whilst they are always professional in everything they do I saw during my stay some very genuine and warm friendly interactions with guests (myself included) that will have made those guests feel wanted, appreciated and not a burden to be tolerated which is how many other hotels leave you feeling. In this case a big part of the quality in both the hotel itself and the excellent staff comes I believe from the fact that it is still owned by the third generation of the family who first opened Moores as a hotel (they also own the De Havelet hotel and the Rocquettes Hotel). The owners care, so the management care and the that means the staff care. As the title of my review says I do 100% recommend Moores and I have already booked for nest summer.

Not far to the island bus station or ferry terminal & harbours. This hotel & it’s sister hotel up a steep hill De Havelet with a pool and Jacuzzi and gardens plus stunning views over the Port of St Peters Port are rare jewels in the Channel Islands. Why? Silver Service, Relaxed Atmosphere, Staff that become friends, hotels to return to as unsurpassed in their care for their frequent visiting guests.

“Want moore??”

A great central hotel with good quality ingredients & no frills but with a hint of luxury & lovely atmosphere. Central but no parking
