If you're staying in the Maasai Mara, this is the place to book. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. What really stood out was how accommodating they were. The chef would personally work with us to customize meals based on what we wanted each day, and nothing ever felt like too much to ask. Every member of the team seemed focused on making sure we had the best possible experience. The biggest highlight, though, was our guide, Elizabeth ("Liz"). She is truly exceptional. From the moment she met us at the airstrip until she dropped us off six days later, she treated us like family. She was completely dedicated to making sure we experienced everything the Maasai Mara has to offer. Whatever was on our bucket list, she made it happen. Liz has an incredible network throughout the reserve and always seemed to know where the action was before anyone else. Whether it was a rare sighting or a special wildlife moment, she somehow got us there at exactly the right time. Beyond being an outstanding guide, she's warm, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about what she does. You can tell she loves the Mara, and that enthusiasm makes every game drive even more memorable. If you're booking a safari here, do yourself a favor and request Liz by name. She played a huge part in making this one of the best trips we've ever taken, and we can't recommend her highly enough.

Everything about the experience exceeded our expectations. The service was exceptional, we wanted for nothing. One highlight was our game driver Albert. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to just know where to take us at the right time to see everything on our list. We got to see the Big 5. Thanks to Albert's tracking abilities we were able to follow the Rhino's tracks to finally see 2 Rhinos on out last day. We can not say enough good about this property and the staff. We are genuinely missing everything about Kenya and the special place that is the Masai Mara. Do not hesitate to stay at this property. You will not be disappointed!!

The Best Place We Have Ever Stayed Our five night stay at the JW Marriott Masai Mara was, without question, the best travel experience we have ever had. While the beautiful accommodations are exceptional, it was the people who made this a truly unforgettable trip. Our safari guide, Eric, was outstanding. Thanks to his incredible knowledge, patience, and determination, we saw all of the Big Five within our first two days. On our final day, we were fortunate enough to witness the beginning of the Great Migration, a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget. Chef Kumar took extraordinary care of us throughout our stay. My wife has special dietary requirements, and he made every meal feel effortless, creating delicious dishes while ensuring she always had wonderful options. It genuinely felt like we had our own private chef. Every meal was made even more enjoyable by Eunice, whose warm personality and friendly conversations made us look forward to breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. One of the unexpected highlights was the Canon Studio. Felix and Moses were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about photography. We loved talking cameras with them and had the opportunity to use Canon DSLR equipment during our game drives. It allowed us to capture amazing wildlife photos without having to travel with our own expensive and heavy camera gear. Victor crafted fantastic cocktails. If you enjoy trying something new, ask him to surprise you with one of his own creations. You will not be disappointed. Our room attendant, Dancun, made sure our room was immaculate every day. After asking about our preferences when we arrived, he kept everything perfectly stocked and exactly the way we liked it throughout our stay. Finally, Doris and the rest of the team greeted us by name every day with genuine warmth and hospitality. Every member of the staff made us feel like valued guests rather than visitors at a luxury resort. We came to the Masai Mara hoping for an incredible safari. We left with unforgettable memories and new friendships. If you are considering a safari in Kenya, I cannot recommend the JW Marriott Masai Mara highly enough. It is, quite simply, the finest place we have ever stayed.

JW Marriott Masai Mara was a dream. It was our first safari and it will be hard to beat this experience. They provided free rides too and from the airstrip. The Jeeps were incredible … much better than the enclosed jeeps I saw other lodges use. They are open, so you can a panoramic view and every seat is the best seat. Jeeps had water, drinks, snacks, blankets, padding, and binoculars for us to use. Even better than the jeep was our guide, driver, and animal expert, Eric. Eric is incredible and you would be lucky to have him. He took us on ALL our drives … we saw the big five by day TWO, and he was not afraid to get right up close to the animals … we were a so close to elephants, lions, leopards,everything. He navigated past and around the other jeeps to ensure we had the best view. He arranged amazing bush breakfasts and snacks, and always planes out the next day with us the night before. I could not have had a batter time than with this kind man on our morning and evening game drives. The food was impeccable. Multiple course meals, amazing flavor and deserts, our main waiter Benjamin did a fantastic job getting to know us, serving us to our likes, and making us feel at home, like we were a family. I definitely overate here and was not expecting this place to be a “foodie” experience but it was! The rooms were amazing. From our room we saw hippos, baboons, and all kinds of exotic birds. Fully stocked fridge, local French press coffee each morning, still and sparking water, and Francis, our room person, did an amazing turn down service each night, and wrote us a good night note every single night. It’s touches like this that make me feel at home. Great little pool, and I used the gym a few times in the afternoon, but we were so busy with game drives we didn’t even spend much time at the hotel, which was fantastic! We rented a fancy camera with a big lenses for 25 bucks (amazing deal) and my wife took amazing pictures we will cherish forever. Don’t forget to bring a SIM card to download your photos! They even professionally edited some for us! Amazing pictures. Bartenders made us amazing drinks and mocktails, and the baristas were top quality, just like back home! They are open early, and every morning before our game drive I got a perfectly made cappuccino to drink before leaving … and even one to go for the drive! All the staff are so kind and truly made us feel like family away from home. We will be returning one day to this magical oasis in the heart of the park. This place was a dream, don’t wake me up!
