I had the chance to stay here in June 2026, and it was truly a wonderful experience. It felt like a real getaway - peaceful, relaxing, and very well taken care of from start to finish. What impressed me the most was the excellent service at every touchpoint. I stayed for two nights at V Maison Boutique Hotel in Luang Prabang. The location is excellent, right in the old town area, making it very easy to visit many key spots such as Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Sensoukharam, the Night Market, Papaya Salad Restaurant (Tim & Hum), and Popolo Cantina. The area is quiet, safe, and very convenient for walking around. The hotel itself is new, clean, and very comfortable. The room was well-equipped with everything I needed. The water pressure was strong, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Breakfast was another highlight. It was served à la carte, with a good variety of dishes that could be ordered throughout the meal. Everything was delicious, well-prepared, and thoughtfully done. The hotel also provides free bicycles, which was a lovely way to explore the town at an easy pace. Another thoughtful experience included in the package was the early morning almsgiving ceremony. The hotel provided a wake-up call and arranged for a staff member to accompany me to a beautiful spot in front of a temple. They also prepared sticky rice and local snacks for the almsgiving. Everything was very well organized and respectfully handled. The staff took great care of me throughout the experience, which made it feel even more special and memorable. In the evening, the package I booked included a Mekong River boat cruise with drinks, wine, cocktails, a cheese plate, and local snacks. It was beautifully arranged. The weather was perfect on the day I went, so I was able to enjoy a stunning sunset over the Mekong River — definitely one of the most memorable moments of the trip. Another great benefit is that V Maison is part of the same hotel group as Souphattra Hotel and Kiridara Luang Prabang. Guests can request to use the facilities at the sister properties, subject to availability. I had the chance to use the swimming pool at Kiridara and was also offered breakfast there. The service, food quality, atmosphere, and overall design of the hotel were all excellent. Kiridara is very beautiful, calm, and peaceful. Kiridara has recently come under a new management team, with new buildings being added and existing areas renovated. The property looks very impressive now. If you are looking for a peaceful stay slightly away from the old town, with beautiful views of Luang Prabang and a truly relaxing atmosphere, Kiridara is a great choice. They also provide shuttle service between the hotel and the old town, which makes it very convenient. If I have the chance to visit Luang Prabang again, I would definitely stay with this hotel group again. Everything was very well done, and I truly appreciate the experience.
