A lovely quiet hotel with extensive grounds overlooking the river. Pre arrival comms was excellent via both email and WhatsApp. The resort provided a free transfer from the airport which took away the issue of getting local currency on arrival at the airport as the Lak is a closed currency. Upon arrival, Sam and his team were there to greet us with fresh fruit and drinks. We sat chatting for some time about the hotel facilities which included free bike hire, free shuttle buses to and from town and also the trips that the hotel could arrange. We were in room 232, a ground floor room with a patio by the second pool in the establishment. The room was well furnished with a comfortable bed, sofa, dressing table and patio furniture. It was great to get a full sized bathroom rather than just a wet room. The Resort is tastefully designed and laid out so you don’t feel crowded in by other guests. The gardens are extensive and lead down to a bbq area and two gazebos on the banks of the Mekong. From the resort you have a great view of Phousi Hill and at night you can see the illuminated dome of Wat Wisunnarat whilst taking in the stunning sunsets. We booked two private tours through the hotel which were considerably better priced than comparable trips on global websites and from local travel / vehicle hire shops. Breakfasts were varied and filling. The complimentary cappuccino was an added bonus. Dinners were extremely good value and delicious. Dinners in the restaurant are also varied with a mixture of traditional Loatian food, taster menus and Fusion recipes. The hotel restaurant was reasonably priced. The team at My Dream Boutique Resort were always smiling, helpful and thoughtful. Housekeeping kept the rooms and patios spotless. The turndown service of an evening included setting up your mosquito net and spraying insect repellent in the room. I’d like give a special thank you to Mama on reception who helped with trip bookings and our transfer to the station on departure and Buachan in the restaurant at breakfast time. She was most helpful and always cheerful no matter how busy service was.

I just spent three nights at this hotel and enjoyed it immensely. My room was spotless and very comfortable. I had a very nice semi private balcony which I enjoyed in the evenings. The pool was wonderful. Also using the hotels, free transportation, and occasionally local tuk-tuks I was able to get downtown anytime I needed and was able to get back to the hotel. Also as needed. I enjoyed hotel’s bar and restaurant immensely Mr.Anousack, the hotel’s bar and restaurant manager took good care of me. The drinks were very good. They were provided quickly, and they always knew my name. Service was very good. The staff Was very kind And the food was great. I ate two dinners there and I’m happy that I did. Thank you, Mr..Anousack, you made the experience great. Can’t wait to make a Laojito when i arrive home.

“Nice rooms”

The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious. The location is a bit outside the city center, but there is a shuttle.

This is a nice hotel. We were upgraded to a better room with a lovely view of the river. The pool it fine but a lacks something, it would be nice if the pool surroundings were a bit more cared for. There is a lovely garden leading down to the river. My negatives are that whilst it appears close to the center it's over the river and a bit of a walk so taxis cost a bit as they have to go the long way round to cross the river. There is a high walking bridge or take a little boat across from about 10 mins walk away. That said it would have been nice to be able to pop out more to do things. The hotel does offer a free shuttle in to town at certain times but not a return until the evening. My other slight negative was I mistakenly didn't book breakfast, I didn't bother with buying at the hotel as I felt $10 per person was a bit steep. Tbh friends were staying at a hotel I wished I'd booked which was cheaper and more convenient and I thought lovely but admit they didn't have a river view.
