Stayed here as had a family emergency. The staff, particularly Harry were so friendly and accommodating. Harry went out of his way to get me a room when they were looking like they were fully booked. The rooms are more than adequate and even have a mini fridge which helps keep a sneaky couple of beers cold! Honestly, I couldn’t fault it. Have already booked my next stay!

“Excellent service and ideal location”

Although the hotel looks a bit shabby in places it is being refurbished at the moment. Harry on reception was an absolute star though. After finding out our twin room was on the third floor and no lift, Harry offered to show us a double room and family room on the first floor. We choose the double and he made no extra charge. The bathroom was newly refurbished with a walk in shower, the bed was clean and comfortable and the two large windows opened on to a balcony area, secured by a wrought iron panel. Harry got us extra tea and milk on request, carried our bags and stored them for us on our last day. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is ideally situated near the south Kensington tube station giving access to three tube routes and all areas of London. It is surrounded by a vast range of eateries within a minutes walk. 10 minutes from the V&A museum, Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. 30 minutes from Royal Albert Hall, Kensington gardens and Hyde Park. We will definitely use again.

I booked this hotel online (directly via the hotel webpage) on the day I wanted to stay. The booking process was easy and I got an e-mail confirmation straight away. I received a warm welcome from Harry when I got there and was given the choice between a room to the front looking out over the road or a room at the back with no view but also no traffic. I chose the latter and had a very nice quiet night's rest in a comfortable bed. The room was as expected, with mini-fridge, safe and hairdryer plus a tiny ensuite bathroom that appeared to be brand new. All was clean and tidy. The only problem I had (toilet flush a bit temperamental) was sorted swiftly and with a smile by Harry and the crew. The location of the hotel is excellent, right next to South Kensington tube station and within easy walking distance of several museums and attractions. This hotel is good value for money in my opinion - but please don't expect the Ritz when you pay GBP 71.00 for the night. The hotel itself does not serve food, but there are many food outlets and restaurants all around it so this is no problem at all.
