Some of the negative reviews made us a tad apprehensive about the hotel, to the point we were even thinking of cancelling, but as it turns out this was completely unfounded and we had a great one night stay at Château Denmark, at least in our room category anyway which was a Clifton Apartment. Our room was #203, aka `Tie Me Down`. Probably one of the nicest, most well equipped and spacious rooms we've stayed in London. As you might have have deduced from the description of the hotel, this is not a regular hotel layout in a single building and many of the rooms are spread out amongst the terraces in and around Denmark Street. I believe some are also in the main Outernet `The Now` building where the reception is located. Our particular room was situated at 57 St. Giles High Street in-between Redemption Roasters and Charlie's Tea, on the 2nd floor. I've read comments about having to carry suitcases up multiple flights of stairs, which might be the case for some rooms but our building had a lift and besides which we checked in early, leaving our luggage with reception and it was placed in our room by the hotel staff upon our return later in the afternoon, so no lugging required. By the way, the reception is down an alley, off Denmark Street, lined with a video art installation, so easy to find. The prior comments about the minibar and the charges had also made me nervous, but I have to say this was incredibly well stocked Yes you pay per bottle, but the prices are reasonable for a hotel at approx 2x retail prices. There were approximately 7 varieities of rum, our tipple of choice, amongst a vast array of other spirits, wines and Champagnes which would put many real bars to shame. I've uploaded photos of the price lists, which are easily available on the TV. The room was also fully equipped for mixing cocktails, including a wet bar, Boston shaker, citrus juicer, jigger, stirrer, hawthorn strainer and even a dishwasher. You can also ask your butler to come and mix drinks for you. There's also a commercial ice maker in the room too, although it seemed not to work. We could've asked room service to bring some ice, but decided just to nip out to the nearby Tesco Express on Tottenham Court Road instead and picked up a few bags plus some additional supplies as well. For the morning after, there's a Nespresso machine in the room too along with CRU Kafe pods, but no milk as other reviews have pointed out. You can always get a cappuccino, flat white, etc from one of the millions of coffee shops nearby or pick up some milk from the aforementioned Tesco Express. I'm sure the butler would bring you some too. The room also had a very good speaker system by Void Acoustics which you can connect to via Bluetooth or Chromecast. I would also call the lighting subdued, rather than dark (I've definitely had darker rooms in London). It also had a small balcony overlooking one of thhe back alleys, but as it was Winter we decided not to use this time. The hotel is a great base for exploring the likes of Covent Garden, Seven Dials and Soho. We dined at The Barbary, Tattu (which is effectively part of the hotel) and Oorja. One word of warning, the hotel is in a noisy area and there's a club nearby so I would suggest bringing ear plugs for a good night's sleep. The only minor improvements I would make to the room are the hot water, especially in the double shower, which is not particularly hot at all (more like warm) and all the windows need to have acoustic glazing, not just some of them (which somewhat defeats the point).

We stayed at a beautiful Chateau Denmark, which is a stunning and very romantic apartment. It was spacious and very clean, it had a fully stocked bar and snacks. We stayed at a beautiful Chateau Denmark, which is a stunning and very romantic apartment. It was spacious and very clean, it had a fully stocked bar and snacks. The staff member Emmanuel, was so helpful from the very start. He was very professional, very engaging and very good at active listening. He went above and beyond what could have been a nightmare stay. He is a credit to the company. Nothing seemed a problem for him and any issues and problems we had, he had them sorted. Other staff members who went above and beyond was Suff, Willow and Arick. Every issue, help that we needed, and recommendations were supported and solutions found with minimum fuss. There was a few issues like the lighting in the room we had was not good, it was extremely hard to put make on due to lighting. We did have a bit of fun as it was a Sinners hotel and I thought they had invested in a vibrating bath, turns out the seal on the plug was going but it was good to laugh about it. Due to some unforeseen situations, we did get upgraded to another beautiful suite called Tie me down. That was extremely impressive and gratefully received as that sort of thing doesn’t happen to us as a couple. Suff and Arick helped us move and could not help enough. We greatly enjoyed both rooms and it somewhere we plan to revisit. I would recommend Chateau Denmark to anything thinking of a romantic weekend away.
