“The best hotel room in London!”

This was the most unique and enjoyable hotel I’ve stayed in a long time. I will definitely stay again next time I’m in London. I was in the Monmouth suite and it was perfect. Everyone there was fantastic and I can’t wait to come back.

This is at least the third time we have stayed at Hazlitt's. And we will return. Located in Soho, it is well situated for theater-going and some of the "big" museums (National Gallery of Art, National Portrait Gallery, British Museum). The rooms are charming, providing a mini-fridge, good closets and cubbies for storage. History everywhere, if this is of interest. Our room this time (and once previously) was the Dr. John Snow room (all rooms are named for famous figures who've lived in one of the buildings that were combined to make the hotel). We had asked for a standing shower...this room had one, but not all rooms do, so ask if this is important to you. The public rooms in the hotel are very comfy--with honor bars. Even though Soho is a very busy (and noisy) part of London, our room was quiet, but admittedly it faces an alley, not Frith Street, so if you are a light sleeper, you might want to be sure that your room faces the back of the hotel. The staff is excellent, very responsive, and the room was immaculate. The breakfast ($$) offerings were filling and delivered to your room, although if you prefer, you can eat in one of the public rooms. This is not a hotel if you need a spa or lavish spaces, but it is charming, elegant, and warm.

“Stunning escape from the hustle of London”

We’ve stayed here on numerous occasions, rooms varying from baron willoughby, to the Duke of Monmouth (our fave) and a couple of others. I could not ask for anymore when staying here. Opulence and luxury is where hazlitts is at. Rich in history and slap bang in the centre of soho, London. Perfect for shopping, meals and relaxing. When in the hotel you feel far from London as it has a peaceful and calm energy, quite opposing to the hustle and bustle of London. 10/10 from me!

Centrally located in Soho, on Fifth St. Very nice and accommodating staff. No tea tray in the room; you have to ask for it, and it was delivered to the room. Centrally located in Soho, on Fifth St. Very nice and accommodating staff. No tea tray in the room; you have to ask for it, and it was delivered to the room. However, both the coffee and tea servings were meager. The room was very cold, so we closed the shutters. The elevator was out of order most of the time during the two days we stayed there. Overall, perhaps not what you would expect from a hotel at that price point. On the plus side: wonderful high beds, bathrobes, and fantastic decor, and a fun idea to name the rooms after historical men. Would we stay there again? No, it is not worth the money.
