We spent three nights in London after a cruise that docked in Southampton. We didn't need anything fancy or expensive, just basic accommodations for three adults. The Hyde Park Radnor certainly met our needs. It was a bit "pricey" by our standards, but not for a Central London hotel. Ended up being $275/night including all fees, taxes, etc. This was a fair price, especially with a breakfast included. Also nice that we were able to cancel, if needed, up until 48 hours before check-in. The proximity to Paddington station was great. A five minute walk. Straight shot down the street. Easy, even dragging large suitcases packed full from an 8 day cruise. Paddington was very convenient for all our travels. Direct on the Bakerloo line from Waterloo when we arrived by train from Southampton. Circle line got us where we needed to go several times. Finally, Elizabeth line to Heathrow when we were ready to go home. We were in room 001, first floor in the front of the hotel. This was a bit concerning as I thought the street noise would be disturbing. It wasn't. We opened the windows during the day and heard some noise. But closed them at night and heard nothing. Outside temperatures were in the 50's and 60's so closed windows were not a problem. We were told this is the largest room in the hotel. It had four twin beds nicely spaced in a large room. Plenty of space. Bathroom was nothing special but certainly adequate. As usual in Europe, shower.... no tub. Breakfast exceeded our expectations! Typical pastries, juices and cereals. But also scrambled eggs, English ham and beans. (Sorry, passed on the beans.) Expresso machine was wonderful. Two cappuccinos to begin the day! Fresh fruits (bananas, apples, oranges). Even a jar of locally made orange marmalade! This probably would have been a $25 breakfast for each of us. Included in the price of the room. Great start to the day. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here on our next trip across the pond.

“It serves it's purpose. No major complaint”

Close to Paddington, so transport is good. Not a whole heckuva lot to explore in the area. Hyde Park adjacent, and Oxford Street a comfortable walking distance, but the price is decent. Close to Paddington, so transport is good. Not a whole heckuva lot to explore in the area. Hyde Park adjacent, and Oxford Street a comfortable walking distance, but the price is decent. The staff were extremely nice. Free morning breakfast (The lady that runs the basement cafe is wonderful. She's the resident "mum" who makes sure youo get enough to eat), which is pretty good. Fully English available, plus the usual suspects...cereal, pastries, tea/coffee. THE CONS: My room was LOUD. It wasn't from people walking by, or pounding from next door, it was the room itself. The radiator shook, banged, moaned and groaned (which radiators tend to do). The shower unit made a huge racket. I'm an early riser (I usually like to be out exploring by 7 am), and I so apologize to any of my neighbors if my morning shower woke you. Bedbugs. This has been a HUGE problem recently around the whole of London, and I specifically went through reviews to see which hotels were having major infestations (it was a pretty large part of my decision as to which hotel to book.) The Radnor had had some issues a while back, but seemed to have remedied the issue (I did pack my own mattress encasement). I found ONE BB my entire stay (which was quickly turned into bed bug puree by my shoe), and I experienced no bites that I could discern. Overall...affordable, clean enough, convenient to transport, good staff, decent breakfast. Not a bad place to stay. Would I stay there again? Probably not, but not because of the hotel, but rather the area. I found it a bit boring. I'll go back to my usual haunt of South Kensington. The hotel itself if just fine if you're going to be in that area.

Staying at Hyde Park Radnor Hotel was a fabulous experience from start to finish. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Hyde Park and close to public transport. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and we slept peacefully every night. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of options to choose from. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was charming and quiet, ideal for a relaxing break. We especially appreciated the attention to detail in both service and decor. It felt like a true home away from home. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London.
