We had an incredible stay here. Peter with Security really went above and beyond with our 2 year old son. While we were waiting for our ride he brought him a ballon, let him use his walkie talkie and brought us refreshments. Just really made a positive impression on us. Thanks Peter!

There are hotels, and then there are experiences that redefine what a stay in a great city can truly be. The London Marriott Hotel County Hall belongs irrefutably to the latter category. Whether you arrive on business, for leisure, or as I had the extraordinary fortune of doing... for both, this hotel delivers on every possible level with a grace and grandeur that left a permanent impression. The location is simply unrivalled in all of London. Step outside and you are immediately beneath the magnificent arc of the London Eye; the Thames Riverwalk is mere seconds from the door. But the true showstopper is the view that greets you across the water: the Palace of Westminster and the iconic Elizabeth Tower — home to the great bell known the world over as Big Ben — stretching majestically along the opposite bank. Sunrises and sunsets over this panorama are the stuff of postcards, yet no photograph captures what it feels like to witness it from your own vantage point in one of London's most storied buildings. The hotel itself is as breathtaking inside as it is outside. The historic grandeur of the former County Hall has been preserved with exquisite care, its sweeping corridors and soaring ceilings marrying effortlessly with the warm, contemporary comfort of a world-class hotel. Every corner rewards a lingering look. But it is the people who truly elevate the Marriott County Hall above all competitors. The staff: warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in each guest's experience, treated every interaction as an opportunity to delight rather than merely serve. In a city full of excellent hotels, it is a rare and precious thing to feel so personally looked after. Special mention must go to Barry: a constant, cheerful presence who made each morning brighter and each day a little easier. His readiness to help, his genuine warmth, and his unfailing good humour are exactly why this hotel sets the gold standard for hospitality. Barry, you are a gem in a crown of jewels.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spacious, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully decorated, with wonderful views. The hotel itself strikes a lovely balance between modern comfort and traditional elegance. The service throughout most of the hotel was excellent. The reception team and doormen were consistently warm, welcoming, and professional. A special mention goes to Juliet in the foyer, who was exceptionally kind and attentive to our young child, making us feel particularly welcome. The pool area was enjoyable, and the location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance. There are, however, a few areas where the experience could be improved. Breakfast in the library felt somewhat limited in both choice and creativity. Some of the fruit, particularly the melon, was not fully ripe, and the ham appeared a little dry. Presentation and service at breakfast did not quite match the otherwise high standards found elsewhere in the hotel. Similarly, while the lounge is attractive, it lacks some of the personal touches and attention to detail that we have experienced at other Marriott properties. Small details, such as serving packaged biscuits rather than freshly presented accompaniments, detract slightly from what is otherwise a refined atmosphere.
