The most positive experience we had would be at the cosy Rock Royalty Lounge . The staff, ADDA, KANI and IM have served us with excellence service , making us felt welcome and answering to our queries especially where this was our first trip to Desaru Coast Hard Rock. In fact, we spent a significant amount of time at the Rock Royalty Lounge. We enjoyed the breakfast and tea break time there. Kani in particular, he was very friendly and knowledgeable always willing to share with us on the cocktail list. The free shuttle service has provided a very convenient way between Desaru Ferry terminal to Hard Rock Hotel. In addition, the baggy transfer between the hotels has added to our comfort and convenient especially under the hot weather. The staff, Rosli, at the conceige is friendly and approachable. Music being played in most areas including when swimming in the pool could be heard has amaized me. Room is clean and reasonably well maintained. However it's could be better to have a hangar rack placed at the Balcony like what The Westin did to allow the guests to dry they wet swim wears. The staff at the Sessions had impressed us with their professionalism, arranging a cosy corner for us to host our 17 pax guests for dinner on 3 Apr 2026. However, I would suggest that there is sports activities like table tennis, archery...shop selling some local products of Desaru. The checking in process could be more clearer in the website like informing the guest exactly level 6 for special check in and not having to stand in the line and waited long for the check-in. Some staff could have station at the disembarking area to welcome guests and help with the luggages like what the Westin did. The staff at the Westin greet us warmly even thought we alighted from the Hard Rock Hotel Baggy, that's a very positive experience any guests would prefer when touching down to a destination or hotel especially. Some resort hotels offer cold drinks to welcome their guest.

The entire crew at Hard Rock were very helpful, mindful, alert at all times and accommodating. I would like especially acknowledge Ms Irene Loong for giving my wife and I an above and beyond hospitality and care from the booking to arrival and departure. She regularly checked on us if everything was alright and that if we needed any assistance to just call on her. I must say that she is a valuable asset to HRDC. The other staffs who also went the extra miles were Kani and Fariz from the VIP Lounge. Very observant and knew what we needed even before we could mention. Helpful, friendly and informative. Also Adda and Dayah. Mr Zul at the Rock Shop was so helpful and very patient with us as we tried out many apparels. Thank you HRDC team for a truly memorable stay. I don't normally write such a long review but the stay here made an impact and we will start saving for our next visit.

We had a wonderful stay at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast and were truly impressed by the level of service throughout our visit. A special mention goes to a petite front desk lady whose name started with “S” (so sorry I didn’t catch her full name). She was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and attentive from the moment we arrived. Her genuine hospitality really stood out — she took the time to understand our preferences, kindly upgraded our room, and thoughtfully checked whether we would prefer a quieter room or didn’t mind being closer to the live music area. During checkout, she also offered to have the buggy send us to the carpark as the weather was hot. It’s these little personal touches that made our stay extra memorable. The service felt sincere rather than transactional, and it made us feel very well taken care of. Thank you for such a lovely experience — we will definitely be back!

“Stay Was good, but the services were far behind the standard”

Room was considered spacious for 4 pax. Cleanliness was good. Love their water park with only walking distance. Room was considered spacious for 4 pax. Cleanliness was good. Love their water park with only walking distance. Downsides - our room was almost towards the end, need to walk around 3-5min in order to reach lobby or hotel facilities. Might be tedious for parent with young kids - the service of the live band bar was terrible. I won’t say it was full house but obviously lack of manpower. We have been “left out” once served with seats, with no QR CODE to scan menu. We have to make our way to reception to get the menu. What most worst is that we have to wait for 30min for our 3 cups of drinks to be served (whisky sour, Asian fuzz and apple juice). It definitely ruined our night as we thought to relax and have a drink at in-house bar, but truly disappointing us. Morning breakfast truly like “pasar”. We were there around 8.30am. Couldn’t enjoy the peaceful breakfast. Overall stay was nice but the service wasn’t there.
