This Ibis Styles is in walking distance to the centre of town, but you do have to cross a very busy road. The building seems very new. Our room was clean,a fair size for a Ibis Styles, with some extra's like a wireless charger, a ultraviolet sanitizer and a good choice of movies. We didn't use the purified water machine, because we had no idea how long the water had been in there. The staff was very friendly. There is a cafe on the premises for hot drinks, pies etc. Breakfast was okay. There is a 7-11l and 2 self service laundry shops a few minutes walk away. We wanted an a la carte meal in the restaurant on friday night, but Fridays they do a buffet dinner, so they told us to eat in the cafe downstairs. We are vegetarians and the cafe downstairs didn't have any vegetarian options. The hotel staff in reception went out of their way to arrange a vegetarian meal from the restaurant which was brought to the cafe for us. Thank you for that ! All together this hotel was a good choice and sometimes a bit of a sanctuary.

Room: Comfortable bed which was bigger than a double with great pillows. Air con worked well, if a little noisy. Small desk & chair as well as arm chair. Blackout curtains. Rain and hand held shower with great water pressure. Safe in room didn’t work, house keeping came to have a look but didn’t have a clue how to fix it. As many others have commented the fridge didn't work. You can also hear the people above pee and flush the chain! There was sometimes an unpleasant smell from the drain but not very strong. Room generally seemed clean apart from black hairs everywhere in the room. Water dispenser is mentioned by many, ours worked fine, however, it was full of water when we arrived therefore you have no idea how long the water has been sitting in it. It's much more sustainable than issuing hundreds of plastic bottles, so we had no issue using it. Breakfast: Nice setting to eat however, all hot item I chose were cold, I stuck to cold food after that. Choices included eggs, baked beans, sausages, fish, rice etc. Waffles, ham & cheeses, fruit, porridge, toast, pastries & cakes, cereals, tea/coffee, juices. Pool area - didn't use, only looked around, pool is small but you can get a few lengths in. Nice surrounding seating area too but is a sun trap. Gym - is small but enough equipment to do something.
