“Great Town Hotel”

We've been here twice. The location of the hotel is great. A short walk to Mahkota Parade & Dataran Pahlawan..and Jonker Street, A Famosa & Menara Taming Sari. Our room is spacious, clean and comfortable with beautiful sea views. The room service was great and tasteful.

“No more free shuttle to Jonker”

Location good (near malls and walkable to Jonker). The free shuttle bus to Jonker walk has ceased and it was difficult to get grab drivers during peak hours. We booked a junior suite and a Hatten suite for our family. First junior suite was dingy, had leaking toilet ceiling and the door was stuck… more

Location good (near malls and walkable to Jonker). The free shuttle bus to Jonker walk has ceased and it was difficult to get grab drivers during peak hours. We booked a junior suite and a Hatten suite for our family. First junior suite was dingy, had leaking toilet ceiling and the door was stuck and couldn’t be opened for a while (imagine the panic). Were given a room next door and it was thankfully better- at least looks refreshed after the covid period. But the Hatten Room was worth the money. Spacious, bright and clean. Will book again. However, the towels were threadbare for all rooms (and seem to be in low supply). Not only did they take forever to send towels up, the housekeeping staff took my new, unused towels away with the used ones and didn’t replace them! Just bring your own. Room service food were very tasty, Buffet breakfast mediocre. Do check if your stay coincide with a public holiday. Ours did and there was a painful jam to the hotel, long queue to check-in, long wait for lifts all the time, super difficult to find a table during breakfast.

“Not my kind of place but nothing wrong with it”

Really there's nothing wrong with it, it's just one of those generic cookie cutter hotels. Well it's out of the way, the mall downstairs is empty. The lifts to get up to the hotel were often crowded with a long wait (it was christmas time). Breakfast was the usual crowded thing in these big hotels.… more

Really there's nothing wrong with it, it's just one of those generic cookie cutter hotels. Well it's out of the way, the mall downstairs is empty. The lifts to get up to the hotel were often crowded with a long wait (it was christmas time). Breakfast was the usual crowded thing in these big hotels. My partner wanted somewhere with a pool so I thought we'd try that end of town. I prefer smaller hotels with character. On the positive side, if you like these kind of hotels, the service was professional, the pool good/clean, the breakfast was a huge range, the building and rooms were modern and in good condition.
